Some people don't understand unfortunately

There aren’t reasons for every wisdom given by Allah. We hear and obey. That’s how it is said in the Qur’an. Allah does not owe you an explanation for everything just because you’re not content with it.

I like your answer, and I wish life was as simple as that. But I'm afraid its not. Anyone from other religions could use that and make people think the other religions are right instead. According to a clip I remember watching on instagram, an English man converted to Islam after learning about it through quran. He said that the quran's content is 97% ethics and 3% rules. He also said that if Islam was all about rules, he would've left it the next day. That's only his opinion though, but I like his interpretation of Islam.

@@Lux.101 Brother with all due respect, You cannot just refute an argument by saying "life isn't that simple". In Islam if something is clear cut haram, and it is widely accepted to be so, then do not turn around and start talking like you have some sort of permission to do so when you don't. If you are going to do it then fine, Allah has placed music down for us as a test, if we are to listen to it then we would be sinning, and Allah is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. But! Do not turn around and start saying that haram things are halal. Allah warns us of the people who make permissible things impermissible, and impermissible things permissible. If you want clear cut proof that Music is Haram in our religion, I've got something for you: Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection." Sahih Al Bukhari, 5590 -> ITS SAHIH, AUTHENTIC FROM THE BEST SOURCE AFTER THE QUR'AN Also brother, the individual who reverted to Islam is right. The Qur'an did not get revealed at once, it was revealed in a timespan of 23 years. Mother 'Aisha (R.A.) said that if all the rulings of Islam were revealed at once then nobody would accept Islam. So it is indeed a step by step process for everyone. I hope you get the difference I mean. Saying something is haram and doing it and repenting is different than saying its halal and doing it and not caring what the consensus is you see. I'm a Multimedia student, so I'm not certain if I can pursue my studies without using music. I'm certain that music is permissible to use since I learnt about Maher Zain, he made me believe music can be halal. @@Lux.101 I understand brother. I can understand you’d be inspired as well. For instance music is a widespread thing in Turkish culture but it’s completely wrong. It’s not uncommon to see hijabi women dancing. Its a sad reality. But it doesn’t mean it’s not haram. If you give up something for the sake of Allah. Wallahi if Allah wills, He will replace it with something better. Look into it and think about it but if I were you I’d try to give it up for the sake of Allah SWT
