They look great Fletch
@@JiggsysShed thank you 😊
And how does one know that it's a battery and not the charger at fault? Can the Charger be tested for the device? How?
@jerrymontalbano3222 You could stick a multimeter on the battery charger and make sure it's outputting voltage when turned on. The label will tell you what it's meant to be outputting in volts and amps, which you can test with a meter. I have never had a charger go, though I don't think.
That looks awesome fletch 👌🏻
Thanks Dave. Need to do some woodwork tools
@@SmellyCatCreations definitely mate I reckon it would look amazing on the side of a hand plane maybe I’ll send you one
Mate the ferrex pro brushless is outstanding
Thanks for a great vid!
@@barryporteous4904 your more than welcome. Thanks for watching
Where did you get the glass bed from?
Ooh I think they where from amazon or ebay
amzn.to/3XlBhJh
@@SmellyCatCreations Thank you
@@Create2make your welcome
The batteries doesn’t last two long. I bought one.
They are obviously alot more expensive but the 4ah batteries as listed below last much longer, they even do a 5ah version now but batteries are pretty pricey. amzn.to/3AODFka
spot on, thank you.
Your welcome. I have another video I need to get round to making on fixing a water damaged battery
thanks for the review i couldnt find any others online
You're welcome, I have used many rolls of 3D Tomorrow filament and never had any issue with it. I found it preferred being a little on the hotter end of the nozzle temp.
Just looked you up some nice stuff
@sharonwaller6716 thanks Sharon really appreciate it 😊
Thanks for the advice ive ordered one for a 4 day craft show im doing i set it up to my back accout. Not sure haw to run a small busines. I work full time and do a few shows a year. Just worried about tax and vat i just dont get it
@sharonwaller6716 I have been in business 4 years now and I was so worried all my life about the taxes and finance side. It put me right off and left it far later in life than I should have, however if you just take it step by step one thing at a time it's not scary. I have considered if people would like to see business startup advice and running a small business help videos.
👍✌️
Thank you :)
I just bought this unit and was pretty confused. Your video helped me get the temp set point I needed. Many thanks.
Your more than welcome. I figured try save some people the same headache
How low can you set a constant water temp?
I just have mine set to a constant 20 degrees but you can go lower certainly like 18 degrees. The lower you go the more power if will use though to try and maintain that
@@SmellyCatCreations Thank you for the quick reply!!
Your welcome 🙏🏻
Does patination oil work on bismuth?
@@ThePeterDislikeShow I have no idea if I'm honest like I say never worked with it. You can only but try a small bit and see. I'm sure it would have some kind of effect
@@SmellyCatCreations You should try bismuth. It has many of the properties of lead like low-melting point but way less toxic.
@@ThePeterDislikeShow where do you get it from?
@@SmellyCatCreations Bolton Metals. You can buy 50 pounds for $400.
@@ThePeterDislikeShow I will check the material out thank you
Does the lead alloy into the brass? I've been hesitating about using metal molds for that reason.
@ThePeterDislikeShow no the melting points of the 2 metals are far too different so have no issues
@@SmellyCatCreations The reason for the concern is I know mercury sometimes messes with other metals, so I figured this would be similar. I work with bismuth by the way, which is more sensitive to being contaminated.
@ThePeterDislikeShow I have certainly never worked with bismuth. What do you use that to make?
Well done Sir! Just got mine and your video really made things clear for me! As much as I love the Worx product line I have always found their manuals woefully lacking in detail. Thank you very much!
@@mrjohnnylongsleeves4128 your more than welcome. Thanks so much for the feedback. Will do a video soon on their hydroshot jetwash and leaf blower as been using them a while to save me time.
Dont think it has enough holes
Nice fagin gloves
Hope you got a fire extinguisher
Woah Stella!
Good video. You can improve your cable by adding an inline table lamp switch. Then you can avoid sparking by getting your wires connected before turning the switch on. Also you can crimp automotive spade connectors on the cable ends. These work well with batteries that have the clip style connector.
Cheers Simon, great tips thank you. I don't generally have to do this very often so it was just a very quick made-up cable but I think if I did it more often I would certainly have a nicer cable and the switch is a great option to add.
How did you fix?
Cleaned and unblocked the nozzle, along with a cold pull
@@SmellyCatCreationsambient temp cold pull or slightly heated up? How else do you clean the nozzle and hot end?
🔔 ⚡
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Fantastic explanation. You are the 1st guy I have seen fixing the hose directly from the tap. Simply superb 😊.
Aww thanks so much. I'm glad you found the video useful 😊
Just a quick question, this video you posted a year back, still do you use this equipment. Does it still hold good. Please confirm.
I still have the pressure washer and do still use it, yes. I am about to try out the worx hydroshot, though, as I have alot more of their batteries so I may eventually move over to using one of them.
@@SmellyCatCreations that's great, will wait for your worx review as well. Appreciate your reply. Thanks.
@@focusfocus8966 your welcome I will get a video made and uploaded
do you sell these free diving weights?
Hi there, I make rhe custom moulds, but I can also cast them in-house
@@SmellyCatCreations Hey , iv sent you a email about them
Great advice and worked perfectly for me.
Your more than welcome. Really pleased it helped
Just tried this on my flashing red Ferrex battery but no dice unfortunately...will try opening it up next!
Ahh shame sometimes it's a little too far gone, that's not to say it still can't be saved of course
@@SmellyCatCreations this is the thing, its not exhibiting symptoms of a flat battery, the status light illuminates and it still powers my tools, it just won't charge on the charger.
@joebeeston1995 might be worth throwing a multimeter onto the charger see what it's putting out
WELL ORGANIZED SHOP.
It's in the middle of a move around 😉
❤❤❤
I would like to ask how to unlock the trigger, i'm having trouble with mine.😥Do you push or pull the round knob? thank you.
Hammer! Not sure on that one to be honest other than taking her apart and having a look I would assume its just a little stuck
@@SmellyCatCreations Thank you very much!
@@80ivannoel you should just push the trigger lock to the right and then be able to pull the trigger back. So thumb to move the lock while pulling the trigger in
@@SmellyCatCreations ok got it.. Thanks a lot! Appreciate, you taking the time to answer my question.🙏
@80ivannoel your more than welcome. I'm happy to help.
Thanks very much. It worked fine for my Gtech hedge trimmer using exactly the same batteries as in your video. I had to buy a new battery from Gtech but at least I now have two working so my hedges will look a lot better. The downside is that I won't get as many breaks from work while the battery is being charged!
Your more than welcome, the Gtech batteries don't last too long per charge though do they. Far easier than running a long power cord though.
Great video !!! Did you use the saw to trim your fingernails?😂✌️👍
Thanks, of course I did, multi use tools and all that 😉
What does high and low mean? High and low speed or high and low torque?
This should switch between 2 speeds gears
@@SmellyCatCreations So it's just the speed that changes, not the torque?
@@Velocity0428 I believe so
Same Aldi/Ferrex battery with same problem. Now fixed thanks to your guide. Cheers!
You are more than welcome. Thanks very much for watching 😊
Waste of money 💰 product Dewalt water pressure 👌
I think the issue is not everyone can afford the dewalt brand
Noice and tidy ❤
Thank you 😊
cool vid, you need to include F & S , cutters used etc 👍
A tradesman, never gives away all his secrets 🤣 put myself out of a job.
Your Pla thought it was tpu
No, just some badly under extruded pla, I need to print some more tpu such a cool material 😎
Thanks this worked for me, I didn't have a spare Gtech battery so I used a Makita 18v Li battery and they are marked up + and - Cheers
Really pleased it saved another battery from being replaced 😀 thanks for watching and commenting
Man thank you so much for making this video. I would have never figured this out from the manual. FYI I am on the Omtech silver that has the same control panel.
No problem at all, I couldn't find anything on this at all, and like you say, the manual doesn't help. I'm really pleased to hear it helped you. 😀 it's a good little controller I changed it all over when I pretty much rebuilt the laser lol
This worked for me, thank you very much! I have the exact same Aldi Active Energy battery & charger and the battery was showing 3x amber lights on the test button but still refused to charge. I only have 1 of the Aldi batteries however I have lots of the Parkside 20V Lidl batteries which I used to jump start the Aldi Battery. I jump charged both the B1 and B2 sides for around 4-5 mins each side and the Aldi Battery now charges fully!
Awesome, I am really pleased to hear this helped you out and allowed you to get the batteries working again :) thanks for checking out the video and please do share with anyone else it may help.
Ferret battery’s year in the dud box just fixed thank you !!!
Your more than welcome, glad to hear it was helpful. Badly need to get some more content out. Thanks for watching 😊
Do you sell them?
Hi Justin, I haven't listed them anywhere, but I had planned to. So if you want one, just drop me a message on Instagram or through my website and I can sort that out for you.
dude audio is bad and you speak too much but thx anyway
Lol thanks dude 😄
Great video for an older woman trying to put together her first chain saw. Thanks very much!!
You're more than welcome, and thanks very much for your comment 😀
is the FERREX multitool Carbonless engine ?
I don't think the ones with Blue trigger switches are but they have done a range with light grey triggers that are brushless motors "carbonless"
Hello, Could ask a stupid question. I'm wanting tip my toes into the air compressor world. I wondered, I've got some skirting boards to fit in the house. 18mm skirting ( pine) which will be attached to a wall in a traditional UK house, so plaster board and breeze block. In your opinion, would this and it connected compressor be up to the job, just hold whilst the 1900 litre of no nails go off. Cheers.
I would personally say one of these would struggle with that, to be honest, as 18mm skirting alone will need a high driving force. If you check out my video for the cordless worx nailer, to be honest, these days, that's my go-to nailer. It has much greater control over deph penetration, and I use it a lot for stapling u shape staples into panels
@SmellyCatCreations great stuff. I will watch that review. Thank you for the quick reply.
@craighayes3316 your welcome and thanks for watching 👀
VCarve Desktop = 28 months of CarveCo Maker. I hate subscription software ... they just dangle you on a string. I'm going to buy VCarve Desktop and if I sell my CNC, the software will go with it (hopefully getting a bit of the cost back). Plus, there is nothing to stop CarveCo putting up their subscription fee. I do agree that the VCarve interface is very old fashioned, but I can live with that. Love the beard!
Haha cheers mate, you do raise a very good point on the subscription side of things. Especially more so lately as everything just seems to be going through the roof price wise. Perhaps good advice would be start on vectrics lowest package until you find it doesn't do something you need then pay the upgrade cost. I moved to affinity designer for artwork to avoid Adobe clouds monthly costs
I've just tried it, but still doesn't want to charge it. Even if it got almost full 3 light battery life indicator. What should I check next?
Is your charger still rejecting it?
@@SmellyCatCreations yeah
@RobertNeaguOfficial I would assume its most likely due to the cells not being equally balanced, and therefore, most budget Included won't load balance them and just reject charging for safety reasons. Options are to try it on a more advanced charger with balancing connection or open it up and separate and measure the voltage on each cell
