But how come @ 4:08 your HEX calculations to end up with the final mileage is so different than the write up you made around the same time on instructables? For instance on that write up, you explaind how hex 33 85 were, "... the only characters that store actual information..." and you multiply the result by 16 to get 211,024km. Yet by doing that method here I ended up with 450,464km instead of your written 629,20x km? In other words your method here did the invert by chance because all those HEX values on row HEX inverted gave a number. What if the 6 digit in the 1,000 column was 5? Then the inverted is A right? So how would that be interpreted as part of the final calculation? Just asking... thank you

What is your process for decoding the data? It appears to be coded differently based on vehicle manufacturer. Did you determine the coding yourself, or find the way the data is coded through research?

This complicated technology made bmw the most unreliable vehicle in the auto industry. What's the point of having throttle body and valvetronic system. They do the same intended work. Worst is if vvt motor fail and throttle body works visa verse the computer put the whole in limp mode. This vvt system renders the throttle body used but at the same relies on th throttle body to control the intake air.

My 06 caravan , the wires in the plastic ring surrounding the keyhole, those wires were pulled from the immobilizer box... id like to solder a wire into the box and run the wire arounnd the keyhole. Theres 2 metal "posts" off the chip. Id like to confirm thats where the wire ends get hooked.

Bro. This is exactly what I was hoping to find. F*ck them dealer prices for replacing keys. Lol I would pay you good money to walk me through doing this on my 2002 mini cooper s. I just got it to fix up (blown head gasket,) but it didn't come with keys! Is it different with a BMW?

For me this isn’t a scummy purpose. I have a classic car with about 230K miles & I simply wanna do a cluster swap from a analog cluster to a digital. I WANT my digital cluster to read the 230K miles. I don’t wanna lower shit LOL

security so good that even the owner can't use it.... plus, they made my key as half 'fob' and half metal key... and it broke in half and the metal half is somewhere in the county... but my metal detector hasn't found it yet...

Hi! I performed this procedure on my 03 Lexus GX470 and finally was able to successfully change the mileage. Just a couple of issues I got. 1. ODO and mileage reading are Flashing / Blinking. 2. RPM Gauge seems to have stopped working. Any idea what may have caused this? Or what can fix it? Thanks!

You start by disconnecting the battery so the air bag doesnt pop you in the face with a tool in your hand
