Uploading all kinds of shit (yeah, I said shit) I like, mostly music you're not likely to find elsewhere, meaning sold out, or otherwise obscure things. Possibly games stuff, too, at some point.
Deep Turtle - Castigo
The breathtaking, stunning final song (and simulatenously the last thing ever heard from them, sadly) off their split 7" EP with avant punkers Valse Triste (Zerga - ZR-12, Trash Can Records - CAN-29, 2003)
I don't own the rights for this material, just sharing for the love for the music!

The Monsoon Bassoon - 28 Days in Rocket Ship

The stupendously marvelous B-side from the Wise Guy 7" single, Weird Neighbourhood Records, 1997. My own rip off the 7", sorry about the poor-ish quality, may have to re-rip some day.

This record is a collection of all 7" material by Deep Turtle released on various labels before 1995. All the 7" records were sold out and it was released to make those songs available once again. Ironically this compilation is also sold out. Songs 1 to 4 are from Snakefish EP (BAD-29) Songs 5 to 8 are from Satanus Uranus Tetanus EP (BAD-34) Songs 9 to 18 are from Riva! double 7" (GRAN' OL' 7-0...
excellent as always. question for marc riley: what did mark e. smith think of cardiacs?
That solo on Stone age Dinosaurs is 'interesting'? Never heard it played that way.
This is like the salvation army on LSD , fu-king GREAT
My granddaughter, when she was a tiny thing, listened to As Cold as Can Be in an English Sea (the video shot in the shed) and was very excited by it. It was beautiful.
Perhaps the best song Cardiacs never wrote?
why can't all bands bow to the genius of cardiacs and move on ??????
Holy… that list ❤
Wonderful stuff - When I played the Cardiacs, my flat mate left the house - Win Win !
Crowd disrespectful So it goes It said
Worth it just for the first track....and the second....and the third......not to mention the fourth. So I won't. I somewhat unhealthily love this band - the greatest British band since the Beatles. Wot a wonderful treat! It is, really!
Love Kavus' 'Cardiacs Chime' at the start of 'Will Bleed Amen'... 👌 I've been a Cardiacs fan since 1992 through being blown away by Sea Nymphs. R.I.P. Tim you beautiful genius. NEVER forgotten. ❤
The out of sync at the end of Gen honestly sounds really good
Frightened.
no one else has ever come close to the absolute genius of tim smith and jim. I count it one of the greatest pieces of fortune in my life that I got to see them all the time from 1984 until Tim fell ill. The greatest unsung hero of music. Loved and missed always x
I wanted to inform the Deep Turtle fan youtube community that this week I contacted the band's guitarist (Petti Umpio) to ask him to create a Bandcamp to upload the DP recordings...
This collection of songs were performed at The Camden Palace in 1992. Nothing quite like a Cardiac's gig. Tim, you are irreplacable.
Gen? in 1992?
Impresionante, ahora mismo con los pelos de punta, salud
Jim is an unsung bass genius. They're all amazing, but his bass playing is phenomenal. RIP Tim.
BRILLIANT!!!
Oh my balls this band is the best that came out from Finland!
Pure genius
Mind boggling genius x
Great session. Shame sleepy people never got a sesion'northern cardiscs'
The breakdown to Hope Day doesn't sound like anything ever before or since
16:22 - 16:34 is the best part.
You are a finnish dude
Too late now but it's not The Cardiacs. It's just Cardiacs. Always has been, always will be. 🌻
I bought this single at one of their gigs - I would have been 14. I listened to it again and again. I even took it into school and played it to one of my music teachers. They couldn’t believe it either. It was a defining part of my teenage years and remains one of the greatest achievements of all time, anywhere, ever. I was there. I saw it. It happened. It remains utterly extraordinary, mesmerising and visionary. Unfortunately I may have been wearing a leather coat and a straw hat at the time.
Thanks for sharing!
this is solo right? is he playing guitar, keyboard, and bass drum at the same time?? how many arms has tim got?
I've listened to most of their records, but this session and the Radcliffe one from 1996 is absolutely stunning.
*October 15th 2005* _Kavus Torabi_ Entry 1. Hi. Its late. Just got back from the BBC in Manchester. We all had to cram in this bloody I-don’t-know-what of a vehicle because the girls wouldn’t take us in theirs unless they all came with us and there just wasn’t room. Sharron had to come with us because she was singing on one of the tunes we were doing and kept on and on and on about her belonging to three different bands ALL THE WAY THERE. No one else said a word apart from Babba who whined and whimpered to himself all the way without ever stopping once it was horrible. When we got there it was obvious that Tim was shit scared because he bit through his lip and it was all bloody and THEN he went and spoilt it all by telling everyone he was scared ON AIR! He was horrible to me when we were setting up our gear in this tiny studio. He kept on pulling my wires out every time I plugged them in and I caught him tipping some water into the back of my Marshall amp. Something fucking beautiful happened though! We were playing that song “Stoneage Dinosaurs” and Tim who’d been fumbling around in his pockets for ages, brought out a little model he’d made out of matchsticks! It was of ME! I was playing the guitar solo bit and the model looked so much like me it distracted me at first but it was so wonderful that I showed my appreciation by playing the highest note my expensive guitar can reach and we all rejoiced! [34:20] It might have sounded odd but it captured the moment I think! Then we all sang in unison. It was a truly magical fantastic moment!
Please friend have you DEMO tapes, can you send me one with the price..(sure) i Will speak from you in my country (FRANCE).. you are god for me....(with my 53years).
Wow, absolutely crushing! The whole time, I'm listening, thinking to myself, "that doesn't quite sound like Bob Lieth" Ah, Steve Gilchrist, wasn't aware that he played with them.
Very cool. I'm really into these guys
My heart brother and friend, wonderfull your MUSIC.
Un jazzycore atomic, atmosphérique ça vient d où, musical et vocal plein la gueule. Tueurs.
Super un jazzcore à la saturne flea collar, hellworm pass mr. Bungle, à pars les potes appréciable à fond. Génial grandiose.

This is amazing thank you. I'll be jamming this my whole life
The best. RIP Tim. The best.
Greatest ever. Sir Kavus! Tim! Jim! Baba!
Great! Checking them out now!
This is brilliant academic classical music disguised as pop rock. There will never be a band like Cardiacs again
Tim's hilarious! gotta love his odd yet fun nature
Tim was very, very special. A one-of-a-kind human being.
Why Deep Turtle has no bandcamp ?...
One can only speculate, but it's pretty much a case of them not wanting to do that. The band split up years before BC became a thing, and apparently the splitting up happened under some unfavorable circumstances, and that may have to do with the why. But for what it's worth, P. Dassum of DT does have a page of his own on Bandcamp, though not related to Deep Turtle stuff, musically or otherwise really, focusing on noise and more experimental stuff these days. umpio.bandcamp.com/
Hope Day sounds H U G E
"Tammy's nice with a cuppa tea and a..." "Shut up, Jim!" "...biscuit."
12:32 for the curious ones!
Hah, is that Jim doing a Smashie impression?
Fantastic!
