You’re making a tremendous amount of progress already. I’m sure it feels like slow work, but from the outside it definitely seems like things are coming along quickly. Keep up the great and difficult work!

I have always loved the mountains and had the wonderful opportunity to stay here with our church for a family retreat in 2007. It is so heartbreaking to see all the damage. Thanks for the updates. Prayers for all the hard hit areas up there.

9:49 AM MONDAY - OH DEAR LORD! THIS IS HEART BREAKING! This place has been my place of pilgrimage for many years until I could not go any longer. Clay and Mary McLean had their Healing Presence Conferences here and it was life changing for me and so many others. I will pray and support in other ways the best I can! Thank you for this report!! Went here when I was about 15, beautiful place, shame to see the devastation here and everywhere else impacted by Helene. Hope everyone is safe.

I stayed here twice for YMCA conferences. It was so beautiful and peaceful there, and has a special place in my heart. I wish you the best.

Omg. I loved this mountain. I came here every summer for the Christian values conference. I worked there one summer. I hope you all fix this place

This place, which I have only visited once, has a huge place in my heart. Earlier this year, I suddenly had a vivid memory of standing on the porch of Eureka Hall, looking out at the mountains. This mental image was so strong and so beautiful and kept returning to me with such clarity that I would get teary-eyed with gratitude for having experienced that scene. I began to use that mental picture in my prayer and meditation as a symbol of how much I have to be thankful for. Rest assured that I have been thinking of this experience ever since Hurricane Helene. I will continue my prayers for this place and when I have the opportunity to do something more to support you, I will.

It's good to see that you are still doing such a great job (or maybe even better) than we did 50 years ago when I was a member of the staff. It was the highlight of one of the best years in my life.
