There's a lot of good lakes and creeks off 70 that have brook trout. You can check the CPW fishing app to pick one thats fitting for you. I mostly go for them spring-early fall.

The 7ft 3wt I have could handle a lot but would be tough with the 17-20in fish in here that run you into stuff. Part 2 has an epic fight

Its a lake connected to a river via storm drain that is near the ocean. This sea trout swam up to spawn.
