Hi Very informative as I live in Stoke Mandeville. It has taken so long to get the southern link road from the A413 Wendover Road to the B4443 Lower Road going ( still not finished yet) that the chance of this being completed to join the Oxford Road at Stone must be years away unless property developers can come with some money which they will be expected to do. However housing development around Aylesbury at present seems to be focused around the east and south sides of the town. I was going to take a walk to the Marsh Lane crossing in the spring. I was under the impression that this was being done away with and a bridge over the railway built but obviously not the case. This probably goes back some years when Network Rail had grand plans to double the track to allow for High Wycombe to Milton Keynes services to run. This idea was scrapped some years ago and as we know there is some doubt whether the line from Aylesbury via AVP will ever get built. My visit to Marsh Lane will have to wait.

I'm travelling on this train to fort William in march next year and Inverness in august next year

Thankfully, the Eastern leg & the Golborne link have been scrapped & anyone with half a brain knows that the "pausing" of the B'Ham to Crewe line & Euston station for 2 years really means "cancelling" & fingers crossed, the rest of this monstrous vanity project will never see the light of day.

HS2 is going to be transformational railway allowing more freight on the existing west coast mainline helping to reduce carbon emissions and hence protecting the environment...if it gets completed in full. The scale of this project is mind boggling. Keep up the videos.

unit numbers were 319216 and 319441 which are sadly no longer with london northwestern railway as of 2020 possibly due to the pandemic. 216 was scrapped while 441 is now owned by the rail operations group
