Have you ever wondered how did the Shaktipeeths came into existence or what are the Shaktipeeths? The Shakti peeths are significant shrines for followers of Shaktism, the ones who worship Shakti, or the female power behind all creation. Most of these historic Shaktipiths are in India, but there are seven in Bangladesh, four in Nepal, three in Pakistan, and one each in Tibet, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. There were many legends in ancient and modern sources that document this evidence. A consensus view on the number and location of the precise sites where goddess Sati's corpse fell is lacking, although certain sites are more well-regarded than others. I wanna know smth, is indra the king of gods like shiva and Vishnu?
@@priyansh_12391 According to the Purans, there are 7 lokas above and 7 lokas below our current loka, which is Bhu-loka. 'Bhu' meaning earth and 'loka' meaning abode. Swarga-loka or heaven in colloquial terms is where the devas or gods such as Indra reside. He is the king of this loka and hence it is also known as Indraloka. However, that does not mean that he is the god of all devatas, as there are more realized beings in the upper lokas such as Markandeya in Mahar-loka, the 4 kumars in Tapar-loka and the highest of them all, Brahma-loka. Hope this answers your question :)

Hi, what is maya?
@@djoleprolece4288 Well there are many schools of thoughts when it comes to the definition of 'Maya', but the essence of them all is that it is the illusion we create for ourselves, to identify with our identity, such as a name, a relationship, an object, etc and think that this is all there is, when the real truth is we are all connected to the universal consciousness, and we deny to see this.
@@talesoftheindusThank you for your answer, God bless you! For me it's simmilar like dr. Yung archetypes of personality ( warrior, king, lover)
@@talesoftheindusUpdate on thinking about what we talk and what you told me. Llife is ocean. Shark is still fish, becouse shakr never imagine next mystery... Man Maya.? Man came with boats and same "faith" happends, to Shark... How could that poor fish with so little brain can even understand.... "Me" as Shark? as Man?? now as human Maya , in same ocean, traveling, with same known and unknown, seen unseen,

One such incident happened with Rishi Markandeya, where he saw the entire universe in Vishnu's mukhmandal. For more such interesting stories from the puranas, please give us a follow.
Notorious means well known for some bad quality. That word should not be used for Sri Vishnu. He, of course, is all good and absolutely so. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Follow our socials : www.talesoftheindus.com/links/ King Bharathari's story is one of love and betrayal. It shows that no matter how rich or famous we are, there will always be desires that will be unfulfilled and the only way to escape this is to find the ultimate truth.
Follow our socials : www.talesoftheindus.com/links/ Once upon a time, Rishi Agastya travelled to heaven and on the way came across a group of people hanging upside down from a tree. Upon enquiry, the men told that they were his ancestors waiting for his son to be born, to be free from the curse. Hearing this, the sage started creating a woman of rare beauty and intelligence, with the most graceful parts of animals such as eyes of the deer etc. The name Lopamudra signifies the loss (lopa) that the animals suffered by giving their distinctive beauties (mudras). Agastya secretly introduced Lopamudra into the palace of the King of Vidarbha, and upon coming of age, he demanded her hand in marriage. Lopamudra agreed to marry him and left the King's palace for his hermitage. Together with her husband she is credited with spreading the fame of the Lalita sahasranama (the thousand names of the Divine Mother).

Follow our socials : www.talesoftheindus.com/links/ After Hanuman's visit to Lanka to locate Mata Sita, he allowed himself to be captured once his mission was complete. Despite Vibhisana's warnings, Ravana arrogantly sets Hanuman’s tail on fire. Hanuman escaped, burning Lanka in retaliation. Unable to capture him, Ravana sends Yama, the Hindu god of death, to subdue Hanuman. Ravana had imprisoned Yama using the Rudra Mantra, but Yama was powerless against Hanuman, who was a manifestation of Rudra. Hanuman enlarged his body, captured, and swallowed Yama. Immediately there was chaos in the universe. There was no death. Disorder broke out. Brahma then approached Hanuman and requested him to release Yama. Hanuman agreed to release Yama, provided Yama sits on the head of Ravana and brings his death soon. Yama agreed and Hanuman released him. Yama also gave the boon to Hanuman that Hanuman’s devotees will be able to overcome the fear of death.

Legend has it once Nara and Narayana, were undergoing severe penances at Badrinath in the Himalayas. Indra, who was always insecure about his position as the king of the gods, created intense rains and blazing fires to scare the rishis, but nothing could break their meditation. Finally Indra sent Kama, the god of love, who along with his entie entourage of apsaras visited Badrinath. They created spring in the cold forest, with flowers blooming, birds singing and the apsaras dancing. Seeing this, Narayana, placed a flower on his thigh, and a voluptuos nymph was born, whose charms far excelled those of the apsaras of Kama. Seeing this Indra apolozied and Urvashi was sent to live in the heavens.
