No you don't believe the WHOLE bible, If you did you would be baptized according to ACTS 2:38 and you would understand the plan of salvation given by Jesus Christ to his Apostles. There is only ONE GOD, The fullness of the Godhead was IN Christ Jesus....this is how I was taught by the UPC. Read the writings of Paul he always acknowledges the God the father and the Jesus Christ the Son of God and the Son of man. God came in flesh and dwelt among us through his son Jesus Christ.

The Apostles did not teach that Jesus was the Father or the Holy Ghost...they taught that there are three that bear record in heaven the Father, Word, Holy Ghost these three are one...The Godhead is three in ONE...Not three God's. Why wouldn't you want to get baptized in Jesus Name, he is our Savior, I love Jesus Christ and wanted to identify with his death, burial and resurrection. Baptism is a symbol of our FAITH and Love toward God...yes it is by GRACE that we are saved. Baptism is an expression of LOVE and obedience toward God.

We did not even belong to the church at that time, It was on a Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 pm. The pastor never met us before yet he did baptize us in water. I can tell you this the scriptures opened up to me. I was instantly changed. I was living under my potential as a child of God until God filled me. I was baptized in the NAME OF JESUS the pastor said those words over my husband and I when we where baptized My husband came up out of the water calling on the Name of Jesus Christ and thanking him, he was immediately filled with the Holy Ghost, Two seconds later I was filled with the Holy Ghost. @JakeFrierson There is no need to judge me or get upset. Nobody is teaching lies. The plan of salvation was not in place until Jesus finished it on the cross. Thus the saying "IT is Finished" . We never questioned the salvation of old testment believers nor would I ever. That is not my place. The spirit has to be accepted it can be rejected. So again what is your point and what are you trying to prove. If you don't like it just change the youtube channel.

In the kingdom of God he is the ruler He takes the foolish things to confound.. There God says it and it is. If he doesn't want it, it is gone. Following God is not have it your way it is his way. His disciples did and If baptism was against God. Jesus would of stoped it and He himself would not of been baptized in water. The very idea that Jesus would do something that we are not to do Hmmm or we become so religious that we dismiss with disregard to his very work that he completed. Jesus ask are you able (willing ) to be Baptized with the Baptism? Mk 10:39 Are you willing to follow in the foot steps of Jesus? To do what ever it takes to go where He leads. In fact, the whole water business, is a disparagement of the real One True Immersion that is an ongoing, continual, and lifelong 'immersion' of His Spirit 'imbuing' us in discipleship which 'whelms' us in the Character of Christ.

@fathuch "Cool but show me what scriptures says that the Apostles of John stayed with Jesus" John 1:35-40. John was a Prophet from God declaring God's command. Jesus 'fulfilled all righteousness' obey His Father's word declared by His Prophet. He also was fulfilling High Priestly ceremonial cleansing law. Yet, John is explicitly clear, that Jesus would not baptize with water but with the Holy Spirit & Fire. Therefore, any baptism associated with Christ should NOT involve water.
