Nice review. Got the Omni on the shelf but have yet to read it. Appreciated the sneak peek.
@@JohnBrenner-re7rf It pays homage to the 70s blaxploitation movies with H4H, and become “superheroic” with the title-change to Power Man. I dug it! 😏
Do you have to move everything, everytime you get a new epic? Seems like a pain in the arse
@@angelmarquez5153 yes, I do… and yes, it is.
@AlphachadEpicCollector I know you said you don't want to collect DC finest, but I got mine, and I highly recommend them. high quality and a lot of pages for a low price
Cool. Make some videos and convince me.
@AlphachadEpicCollector haha maybe in a few years, when I have even more of these. at the moment, there are only 3 of these paperbacks out.
I'm getting this new Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection for Christmas. I'm obsessed!!! I need more Epic Collections for bookshelf.
Sweet Christmas!!! Hell of a review for Luke Cage Epic Collection Vol 1: Retribution. Can't wait for your next review of Epic Collection Vol 2: Fire at this time.
RESPECT!!!! I ALWAYS LIKED THE SUBMARINER!!!!
Nice review for Deadpool Epic Collection Vol 5: Johnny Handsome. Also, Ryan Reynolds is great as Deadpool, but I respect your opinion. Also, I've been watching superheroes on the big screen for a long time. Now, I need to read them in the comics. Since you reminded me to read Deadpool for Deadpool, I'll do that. I promise you, I won't rest until I collect every Single Marvel Epic Collection and display them all over my room. I only have three Epic Collections.
Not even the FF's dorky robot, Herbie can stand up to the might of Galactus!
I have graphic novels that i got from ollies but i don't really like them my ollie's sucks with getting new books in no one buys them
@@christianalexander579 That’s awesome!

Enjoyed your review of Deadpool Epic Collection Vol 2: Mission Improbable. Can't wait for your review of Epic Collection Vol 3: Drowning Man. Excelsior!!!!
Short video 😢
@@angelmarquez5153 I tried my best, but I kept running out of space on my phone. After the third attempt, I gave up.
Ryan Reynolds is overrated af
This is the Alpha I subscribe for. “Circle Jerk” is officially canon and Ryan Reynolds can go f$@!himself. Great review, keep em coming 👍🏻👍🏻🤣!
Why doesn't this book have the Deadpool logo in the cover? Is there a specific reason or what is it?
@@MehmetDeniz-jo1di That’s a very good question, as there’s really no explanation or reason for the omission, not online anywhere, but there are pictures of the logo on the book. I have a pic of it from Fandom.
@@AlphachadEpicCollector okay thank you
I need to read the Moon Knight epic collections before I get to Jed Mackay's run because I'm obsessed with reading Marvel Epics. Also, great review of Moon Knight Epic Collection Vol 5: the trial of Mark Spector. Another thing I want to add is that Acts of Vengeance is an underrated story in Marvel Comics because not many people talk about this comic event. Can't wait for your next review on Deadpool Epic Collection Vol 1: The Circle Chase. LFG!!
I really look forward to reading this one. I haven’t read any of these since I was seven years old. Obviously, a lot was lost on me at the time!
@@michaelk.vaughan8617 This is truly an EPIC collection, pun absolutely intended! It’s epic storylines after epic storylines: High Evolutionary vs. Galactus, the Salem Seven, evil Reed from Counter-Earth, Luke Cage replacing Thing, and George Perez’s artwork spread throughout!
If we ever get Dazzler Epic Collections, I am sure that Marvel will make the spines a different color, that would separate that huge wall of red of Daredevil and Deadpool spines. The Dazzler omnibus was just released, so it may be a while before we get Epics.
Fantastic Four Epic Collection Vol 10: Counter Earth must die is a great pick to read on Fantastic Four. Epic Collection Vol 2: the Coming of Galactus is a great pick to read as well. And I like Impossible Man. I saw him in Fantastic Four World's greatest heroes and in Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H. Fantastic Four: First steps may take elements from Counter Earth must die because the movie will take place in another universe. And Galactus will show up in the movie as well. Other than that, FANTASTIC video, man!! It's Clobberin Time!!!!
Those mid 90s at Marvel were kind of mediocre. I completely understand if you decide to stop collecting most of the titles after Onslaught. For me, I stop collecting at 1992. Finding space for everything can be difficult.
@@ps2gamingforever364 I’m just taking them all to the end of their first volume runs, so CAPTAIN AMERICA, THOR, IRON MAN, DAREDEVIL, DOCTOR STRANGE, and FANTASTIC FOUR are pretty much done for me; AVENGERS has one more volume before they pack it in with #402. I don’t think I’ll continue on if they release further volumes of any of these titles.
I also got the six Conan epic collections back when they came out and felt disappointed. But it seems like Titan will pick up the ball. Titan and Heroic Signatures has said they're working on format similar to the epics collections. If the new Conan omnis by Titan are anything to go by, they're going to be exact copies of the marvel ones save the red logo with white text saying Marvel will say Titan comics and Heroics Signatures instead.
Great Review , Def gonna buy this book !
@@TAD880 Enjoy it! Don McGregor is an excellent writer.
what did Chichester do? Cant seem to find anything online?
@@Jakejesus Not sure what you’re asking. Are you asking what did he do wrong, or what issues of Daredevil he wrote. Be specific.
@@AlphachadEpicCollector what did he do wrong?
@@Jakejesus Nothing particularly wrong, it’s just that his stories, in particular the dialogue, doesn’t flow well. He overuses too words and narrates too much “moody” dialogue that feels contrived and heavy-handed.
I enjoyed your review for DareDevil Epic Collection Vol 17: Into the Fire because you get read the limited series arc which summarizes Matt Murdoch's origin which leads to him becoming the Man without feat. I can't wait for Vol 18: fall from grace, which leads to DareDevil wearing the black armored suit which led readers believing that the suit looks ridiculous. Other than that, great video.
@@UltimateSpider1385 Don’t forget to Like.
Loved your review for DareDevil: Epic Collection Vol 16: Deadman's hand. Can't wait for Vol 17: Into the Fire. Other than that, Great video!!!
Personally my least favorite Daredevil writer. Whatever your decision on the future of the channel I’ll be here til the wheels fall off!👍🏻
Definitely want you to keep on going. Perhaps take a break? Hate to see you stop but burnout is real and you’ve been flying through these babies! Whatever your decision, thanks for your content.
@@JohnBrenner-re7rf I’ll keep going, I just have to manage everything a bit better. No worries!
Best way to defeat your enemy is to destroy his sanity which is exactly what DareDevil did to Typhoid Mary. Unlike Spider-Man, DareDevil isn't afraid to seduce femme fatales. He should've done this to Lady Bullseye(Why I am saying this?).
That's the Epic of Daredevil that I am missing and unable to find at the places I usually shop. Hopefully it gets a reprint next year. I can tell your getting burnt out for all the reviews. Perhaps its best just to limit yourself to one video a week. At your current rate of reading and doing reviews, it probably seems more like a second job than something that is supposed to be fun.
@@ps2gamingforever364 That’s actually a great idea! I’ll probably do it as a Saturday or Sunday thing, like a “weekly round-up” of all the books I’ve read. And I’ll just write down all the highlights and even lowlights in my journal, so I don’t forget.
A touch of Typhoid is a great origin story for Typhoid Mary because she's crazy and seductive. Basically the closest version of Marvel's Harley Quinn. I need to collect and read the DareDevil Epic Collection. Hopefully, we'll get Frank Miller's run as part of the Epic Collection line. Also, Blackheart is more of a Ghost Rider villain in my opinion. Other than that, Great review!!! Can't wait for your review on Epic Collection Vol 18: Heart of Darkness.
@@UltimateSpider1385 That actually makes more sense, Blackheart being a Ghost Rider villain, or a Doctor Strange villain, absolutely! DD is too street-level to be dealing with the supernatural.
Great review. Plan on getting vol 17 as my first daredevil epic since that book had frank millers the man without fear which is supposed to be great for new readers. Quick question cause I’m curious, what was the first epic collection you ever got?
@@nathanbenson9166 X-Men, Vol. 4: IT’S ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN (1970-1975). Still one of my favorite Epics!
Great review of DareDevil Epic Collection Vol 12: It comes with the claws. Can't wait for Epic Collection Vol 13: a touch of typhoid. Speaking of that, I saw volume 13 at Coliseum of Comics while I was buying Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection Kraven's Last Hunt on my birthday this year.
@@UltimateSpider1385 I can’t wait to read it. You should buy it.
The book before frank millers run. My favorite daredevil run
@@Mr.EpicMans We need the Frank Miller run!
I am a very big fan of early daredevil, should I pick this one up?
@@GoofyGoober2121 If you’re a fan, the answer is obviously “yes”. Just make sure you buy the first three volumes before you do, so you’re not unfamiliar with the characters.
While I’m a big fan of the Nocenti run on Daredevil, Marvel is definitely on some bullshit withholding the Miller run in epic form. In my humble opinion the Miller issues of Daredevil stand as some of the best comics ever written.
@@JohnBrenner-re7rf I couldn’t agree more! I want Vols. 8-11 now!
Mark Miller daredevil!! It is time Marvel 😡
@@angelmarquez5153 Frank Miller, actually.
@AlphachadEpicCollector right, I had just woke up when I was listening to the video, and I hadn't drank my coffee yet 😅
I wish they weren’t so expensive. RIP your wallet
“Not porn yet.” Love the foreshadowing for Born Again😂😂. As always, keeping it real. Love it.
@@JohnBrenner-re7rf Hopefully they’ll release the Frank Miller stuff one day!
I personally might wait potentially years until we start getting Frank Miller's work before reading past Vol. 1 for Daredevil now. lol
@@dayneinsayne Might as well read it, get it over with and never look back.
I hate Mike Murdock so much! You know I love Stan Lee…but these issues were the worst. They were so dumb even Gene Colan couldn’t save them. I guess the good thing is that Daredevil couldn’t help but get better after this.
@@michaelk.vaughan8617 Mike Murdock is really Stan Lee in disguise, apparently. But seriously, I don’t hold much stock in his writing as far as logic and pathos are concerned. In this case, as I stated in the vid, my intelligence was insulted to the point where I just didn’t care. I just hope Vol. 3 is better once we’re out of the “Stan Lee” era.
surprised these were a letdown..heard some good stories about them..but maybe thats why these stories are not reprinted as much as other series from the 60s
@@wouter-janrooswinkel158 It is possible. I mean, the artwork is stellar stuff by Gene Colan, but Stan Lee’s conception of “Mike” just seems ill-conceived, far-fetched and hollow. Stan Lee’s stories lack any sense of credibility, logic, or reason other than it’s good vs. bad, and getting his characters from point A to point B.
