Character illustration process - from scribble to final render
In this short insight video I wanted to show you a bit of my process when it comes to illustrations. I divide the process in clear steps that helps me to not get lost throughout a project.

Klasse Arbeit! :)

cool
Cheers
As someone who's learning motion graphics right now, this is inspiring but also intimidating 😂 I can't wrap my head around how you did these
Don't get intimidated and learn to enjoy the process. It always feels so satisfying when you learn a new skill. Go step by step and be consistent.
Inspired me to keep working on my improvement!
Always! Believe me there is so much stuff I feel insecure and have to improve. But that's kind of the beauty of it. You will never be finished, there is always something new to learn. The important thing is not to get intimidated and enjoy the process. That said, I have to buckle up and improve my storytelling. Thanks a lot for your comment.
hobo bros
very jewish tbh
Had to keep the render time at a minimum🥸

A circus ball sent flying!
Oooooh, I like that very much😅

This is great work! Animation, design, editing and sound design all working in harmony. Bravo dude!
Cheers mate. Really appreciate it.
such a delightful portfolio! in love with everything, the music, the sound effects, the editing and obviously, your work! where did you get the cartoony sound effects from, if you don't mind sharing?
Thanks so much for the kind words. The sound effects were done by a professional sound designer. You can check out his work here: www.volkmars.org The dude is awesome and always brings my work to the next level. If you need any kind of sound design reach out to him and he'll hook you up.
Dude, I love your sense of motion. Been working in motion design for 14 years and I still get excited over tasty portfolios. Keep ti up!
Also the sound design - it's frigging gold.
Thank you so much for the comment. I totally agree, for me the sound design lifts the whole showreel to another leve.
Inspirational
That sounds awesome. Always lovely to hear. Thanks a lot for the comment.

this is so cool
Thanks a lot. Glad you like it.
The motion is amazing. Try watching this without the audio, it'll make you realise that the sound design played a much bigger role!
A hundred percent. For me the sound design is key. Unfortunately clients do not really appreciate this crucial element since they mostly are satisfied with the animation. But sound design brings it to a whole new level. The sound designer Volky is awesome and did as well the sound design on my other reel where to me it pops even more.
Amazing work!
Thank you!
How much work do these designs take? I don't know anything about this field so I'm curious.
Heu there. There are too many factors to actually put a number of hours. The most time consuming part often is the journey together with the client. Since most clients don't talk "design" a big task is to develop a common "vocabulary" to get as close as possible to their vision.
clean dude amazing work :) hope to see more next year!
Thanks man. Really glad you like it.
