@@luisfjara6659 it’s kind of a frankenstrat. It’s 1999 deluxe series neck on a 1985 Japanese Squier (made in the Fender factory) body. Bridge and neck pickups are DiMarzio Tone Zone standard and mini. After making videos with multiple guitars I’m convinced the bridge pick being angled actually gives it a unique tone.

I think it’s 9.5. It is from a “pawn shop” series strat from 2012. Full gloss, 22 frets, and bullet truss rod. They were poor sellers so I bought a couple necks years ago because it’s like a modern 70s neck 👍

If your cab has an option to run a head at 4ohms it will be louder. I used to use mine as a backup for my jcm 800. My 1960a cab was stereo but also allowed you to run at 4 ohms which is best for solid state heads

@@greendayray I have a 1960a cab with T75's so I can definitely wire it to 4 ohms. People say they get quieter as you get into yhe higher gain modes I would think it would have to do with the clipping diodes. I could maybe add a switch to bypass them idk. I want one of these as like a beater amp and keep my nice amps at home, plus it's a great sounding amp and I love Valvestates but people are asking crazy prices for the older ones.

@@CryptToneMusic the avt-50 is soo much better and reliable than an old vs100. I just crank the mids, put the bass at a useable level and put an overdrive in front of it. Oh and turn the treble down some, depending on the room.

It does need new pots, the previous owner had an EMG setup so I just threw whatever old pots I had in it. However the 500t Gibson in the bridge is plenty hot haha. Also the microphone on the ipad isn’t the greatest so it’s probably cutting a lot of the clarity out.

@@greendayray I love the 500T it's on my Gibson explorer. I remember trying the 500T on Gibson LP Classic and it didn't work for me for whatever reason unlike the explorer. I got a Gibson Les Paul custom with 498T and love it but I know many people hate it. I guess it's all personal.

@@jimjim7008 yea this custom is pretty heavy but I’m not sure if it has a maple neck or not. But it is a 3 piece neck with a pancake body. However that affects the tone I’m not sure.

@@greendayray who cares man as long it feels and sounds great to you. If you curious just find out when it was made from its serial number and see what the specs are. Sounds like a custom from the 70s where some of the best classic albums were recorded. Enjoy and embrace it... I've played many guitars and nothing feels and sounds like the holy grail.
