Hi, would you give me permission to use this to show 7th graders? We are reading "Two Kinds". I have also read Joy Luck Club and other readings by Amy Tan. She is one of my favorite authors. I love her dry wit and creativity. I love how she hangs out with the coolest people ever, too!

I love Tans writing. Despite cultural differences, we see that the complexities within parent and child relationships are really the same in all of us. She expresses this brilliantly. I thought the acted out demonstration was sweet. Nice work.
