Having a hard time with ranging enemies to get an accurate shot. Any suggestions?

@Acetheskyhook check your settings for "controls" and look for range finder. You can also check for binoculars to help you look around and spot enemies.

@cadenrobl473 hornet goes hard. Don't turn fight with it, you'll lose every time. Use it's speed to zip away, no one will catch you unless you let yourself get slow.

It would've been better if the p51 hadn't tried pulling up at the same time I did. Lol. I intended to go over top him, but the hornet isn't that graceful when making trying to do that. I wanted to hit the last two after the p51. Lol. Thanks for the support!

Didn't have much longer, if I got even slower, it would've taken ages to nose over. It's a balance between speed and timing. Don't think it was too bad, got him at his peak.

Clunky feeling plane, but the guns on it are pretty good. 50 cals i believe.

@Lenevor never really meant to hit him, I ultimately shoot to make him break, or pressure him to miss. I wanted to merge with him.

Also, bro was faster than I, that's why I wanted the merge. I can stay in his turn circle while he bleeds energy.

@@Acetheskyhook Fire is a bit of a 50/50 chance, some people know how to handle it, others don’t.

to be fair, its not a 50/50 chance when their a burning heap on the ground. Keep firing till wings fold. lol

Glad you thought so! Keep in mind this works best in fast energy fighters, and any other plane with good energy retention. Try to level out and start your dive back down at about 250 kmh, any less you'll struggle with nose control.

Forgot I had it. Lol. Enjoying it so far. Has some pretty good energy retention too, does alright with boom and zoom too.

Keep practicing, soon you'll see that little lead indicator in your mind when you take shots. You can almost see when I begin to range my opponent when I circle back around. Watch what my cursor is doing, it kinda follows him as I range him.

I gave him all the time in the world to take the kill. Even hit him. I held my fire for quite some time. I wasnt about to let the guy get away cuz my teammate failed. lol.

@charliemannion2718 sometimes. I don't like sim battles in war thunder, just feels clunky. I got a couple videos on here making an attempt. I just hate how slow it is mostly.

I appreciate the support! ill see about making a video, but i use a combo between nvidias shadow play feature, and use microsoft clipchamp to edit the clips. I have the 8 dollar package that they offer, lets me use more features and export my videos in 4k.
