Ha! No I didn't call it that. But I will say that having grown up in the surf on the south east coast of Australia, this was by far the largest and cleanest swell that I've seen to date on east coast USA. It would be just a Tuesday in Australia ;)

@@aerialattitude1720 hahaha, yeah when it hits like this it's nice. Not a rarity, but not everyday either. Great lil' clip, I've never been able to hit that spot on a good day.

Can't argue with that Dave. Having grown up in the surf in Australia, whenever I see a clean knee high or better wave on the east coast of the US I get a little over excited. We rarely see a decent wave up here.

David H thanks a lot! This was all shot on an original P4 over a year ago now. I’ve learned a lot since then and now fly a P4P and new Mavic 2. Maine is a great place to fly. Just be a bit careful around Portland and Portland Headlight as it’s pretty much all inside PWM Class C controlled airspace. Just call the ATC control tower and let them know where you are before you fly. They’re really easy to talk to and appreciate the heads up and will let you know if they want you to stay below a certain altitude based on your location and their approach paths. Enjoy your time in Maine!

Aerial Attitude Thanks for the info, I checked my Kittyhawk app and did notice it was Class C airspace and was looking to get a waiver to fly the area, but you called the tower and spoke with ATC that is awesome they spoke with you and gave you authorization to fly the island. Where did you control your P4 when you were shooting Ft. Gorge? On Peaks or from Ft. Gorge? Seems like a long flight for my Phantom. Thanks for the response...maybe see you around. I live in Atlanta, but grew up in Maine and still have a house in Kittery, Maine. My folks had a house on Peaks during the 50s and 60s and spent many summers out there. I’m a new pilot and learning and your video really helped me, thanks again.

No. It's the bridge in Portsmouth on I95 that crosses from NH into ME. It was a trip up from MA to me so it represents the view entering Maine at the beginning and then leaving again at the end ;).
