George Thorogood & The Destroyers - Bad To The Bone [7" Single Edit] (1982)
Single edit of George Thorogood's signature song from the 1982 album of the same name. Although the song only peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts and didn't chart at all on the Hot 100 upon its initial release, "Bad to the Bone" became widely popular thanks to the song's music video being in MTV's early rotation and through use in films, TV shows, and commercials over the years.
The single edit of "Bad to the Bone" shortens the track to 3:36 from the LP's length of 4:56, by shortening the introduction and some of the guitar solos (the saxophone solo remains in full). This is the version still heard on some classic rock radio stations in the U.S. today.

Written by Otis Blackwell & Jack Hammer and originally recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis in 1957, this non-album track was the B-Side of The Hassles' final single release in September 1969. The band would split up shortly after it failed to chart. Both sides of this single have never been reissued on CD. Penned by Billy Joel, this non-album track was the A-Side of The Hassles' final single release in September 1969. The band would split up shortly after it failed to chart. Both sides of this single have never been reissued on CD. Ripped from my personal copy of an Australian-only EMI release called "Billy Joel & The Hassles - 1968 Sessions."

The Hassles' second and final studio album, "Hour of the Wolf," was released on January 23, 1969 by United Artists. Unlike their first LP, this album contains all original material by the band, mostly written by Billy Joel. Drummer Jon Small and former singer/frontman John Dizek both have 2 co-writing credits. Also unlike their first album, it was never reissued on CD and has been out of print ...

An unreleased demo from the "A Single Man" sessions in 1978. Written by Elton John and Gary Osborne, it was later finished and given to Garth Hewitt, who released the song as a B-side the following year. This is an attempt to create a listenable stereo mix of this hard-to-find recording by adding compression tracks and adjusting bass and treble. While the sound is still far from professional qu...

An unreleased demo/outtake from the "A Single Man" sessions in 1978. It's unknown whether Gary Osborne contributed lyrics to this demo or if Elton wrote the words himself. Some bootlegs refer to this track as "Love of My Life," while others have it listed as "Love Will Find a Way."

Non-album B-side to "Live It Up" and one of the only tracks in the trio's entire discography to be credited to all three members (David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash). This track was never reissued outside of its initial 45RPM release in 1990 (a time when vinyl sales were rapidly declining), making "Chuck's Lament" one of the most obscure songs in CSN's entire catalogue.

DJ Edit of the title track from Crosby, Stills & Nash's 1990 album "Live It Up." This is the same version heard in the music video. The only difference between this and the 3:56 album version is the guitar solo has been edited. It only charted in Canada upon release, peaking at No. 53.

45RPM single edit of "Show Biz Kids." The original 5:25 LP version contained the lyrics "Show business kids making movies of themselves, you know they don't give a fuck about anybody else..." that was edited out for the single release. It was the first single from Steely Dan's 1973 album "Countdown To Ecstasy," and reached number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100.

45RPM single edit of "Do It Again," released November 1972 by ABC Records. The single version differed from the LP version, shortening the intro and outro and omitting the organ solo. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 18, 1972, and reached number 6 on the US charts in 1973, making it Steely Dan's second highest-charting hit behind "Rikki Don't Lose That Number."

As a long time Elton superfan, this is the best, most clear version I've ever heard of this song... Elton's demo anyway. Thanks so much for doing this. I hope it receives an official release, as well!
