This is probably the very best live performance I’ve ever heard from Mr. dynamite himself so bother the number one James Brown!!! The whole band was really on fire that night that name are great the brakes are great everything about it is top-notch… When I first heard this from a butt rest of VHS tape and saw it, I was well on my way to being a teenage blues guitar phenom. I won’t say that Mr. Brown derailed me but definitely made me start having to mix funk with the blues! There was no denying it! I have been infected by “the funk”… take me higher!

QUESTION! Does anyone know if this movie has ever been released somehow with James Browns’ original music score still intact and not removed? I bought a really old PAL VHS from Australia on eBay just to check but no, removed even then. From what I understand you had to be lucky enough to see this movie in the theatres during its original run to enjoy it. If you watch the trailer though, it does in fact have the James Brown music. What a tease!
