You should have listed Yosemite NP as two: Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows. By trail, one could hike from one to the other in a day, or by vehicle, they are about 60 miles (97km) apart. Both are granite climbing, but while the Valley's climbs are long cracks and vertical climbs, the Meadows are mostly slabs and much shorter.

The Smithsonian Museum is the best museum out there. Not just because of it being the biggest in the world, but also because it's basically multiple museums together in one.

I live close to Mall of America so I've been there dozens of times. I can't wait to visit the American Dream Mall in New Jersey and the West Edmonton Mall in Canada one day to see how they compare.

I was surprised to see Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and Great Wolf Lodge as I can think of at least a dozen waterparks that look better such as Schlitterbahn, Splish Splash, Raging Waters, Kalahari, DreamWorks Waterpark, Water World, Dollywood's Splash Country, Lost Island, Raging Waves, Rapids Waterpark, and Soak Mountain.

Very important recommendation. Take a pair of comfortable walking or running shoes. You will do a lot of walking during your visit to the city. If staying for a week buy a MTA pass. $33 for the week allows unlimited bus and train fares. The longer the distance you are traveling the faster the subway is. Time not of the essence? Take the bus. It is nice to see the architecture while transporting yourself. Stay hydrated. Bring a thermos for fluid. Suggestion: do not go to the Statue of Liberty. You get a good view of downtown Manahatten but have to climb a narrow circular staircase. The boat to the statue is expensive. Alternate: Staten Island ferry. Free 20’ ride to Staten Island. Tourists line up on the right side of the ferry and you pass by the Statue about a mile out. Then get off the ferry and take the return ride. Lovely downtown Manhattan views. Times Square. See it at night. Large numbers of tourists. The locals avoid TS. So much light you don’t need a flash on your camera to take photographs or videos. Empire State Building observatory. ~$35/ person. Not sure of the price. Tallest observation deck in the city. An alternative is the top of the rock. Rockefeller Center. I prefer this observatory because of its location. It is closest to midtown so in MY opinion the superior location for great views. YMMV. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
