Patching a 1.5" Hole in an Inflatable kayak - 4 product comparison
For the test I used a pillow from Intex Excursion Pro.
From what I understand though it's pretty representative for any vinyl materials. And that's what most kayaks are made of.

Sealing a pin hole in inflatable kayak. 3 product comparison
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
I used an inflatable pillow from Intex Excursion Pro for this experiment. That's the kayak that 's most likely to have holes of this type. But pretty much all flat water kayaks are made of pretty similar materials, and I think that this test is relevant for vast majority of them.
Intex Excursion Pro - Best Inflatable Kayak ever? No.

This is just my opinion and observations on this kayak. I am not affiliated with any manufacturers and have no financial interest in kayaks. I just want (more) people to enjoy the water (more). meetup.com/pdx-inflatables

i wonder how much faster those cheap inflatables would be if you coated the bottom of them with a hydrophobic finish to reduce drag, that an longer fins to improve tracking
5:30 theres no need to call her short and calling her a skank is just rude
Thank you for this video! It was actually helpful
Many thanks for the great information, I’ve used your video to buy my first kayak, loving life on the water , glad I found your review 👍🏻👌🏻🇬🇧

What a terrible review of me
This was very informative. Learned a lot of new things. Thanks for taking the time to explain the categories and their benefits as well as disadvantages.
Great review!! Thank you!!
The comparison really sets this video apart from all the others I've seen - good job and thanks for including that part specifically. Ultimately I went with the Loctite myself, and specifically for an air mattress.
Hi Jack just found your channel and watch your vids ..great info.. like the breakdown of kayak categories. In your expert opinion which you think is faster explorer 380x or blackfoot 130 ? And durabilty wise ? I be mostly on small lates touring and some fishing..but yet will like to try whitewater at somepoint as well.... whats your opionion ? Thanks
THANKS BRO
FF>> 4 years I have a sit upon fishing I SUP with drop stitching welded seams with a separate electric skeg fin w/ remote control. I couldn't justify paying over 1k for an inflatable kayak when hard shells are way less expensive just for at the time cutting edge inflatable tech at the time. I'm glad I procrastinated I paid less for this setup than a razor-lite..
that was a VERY helpful video. Thanks.
man we are waiting for a long time for your more videos about kayaks and kayaking, please update and send more videos
It would be awesome if Sea Eagle made a copy of the Hobie Tandem Island. I want to sail most of the time. If I'm not sailing then I'd rather be pedaling and not paddling.
Amazing review 🇧🇷
What you consider blackfoot 130 vs fastrack 385fx ? Mostly lakes and calm water fishing touri g..and like to be able to try whitewater...
This guy is dope. unreal
Aren't you supposed to use a cleaner/primer like MEK before gluing?
Informative. Thank you!
Would you recommend seaeagle 370 instead of this pro ?
I just wanted to go catch some fish and now I'm an expert on inflatable kayaks... O_o
They mite be crap to you but good affordable for us so do one
Excellent and informative video ! no 'Wet Butt' self bailing boats for me then :) Kudos!
but the brain does not work like that, fear is real and subjective.
i have a Sevylor infllatable boat and has last me more than 10 years, never an issue, or a punctuated hole, or nothing.....
Thanks a lot for the review! Just a maybe silly question: do you think it could be possible to stand up (and maybe paddle!) In the Advanced Elements AirVolution Kayak, since the bottom is quite wide as well as firm cause of the drop-stich technology?
Late viewer, but, hey, thanks for this fantastic, informative, inflatable kayak comparison. I hope you're checking out Decathlon, too. She's a beauty!
H! !'M W@¥n3... 3njoyed the vid. Just brought one 20:22 of the peg k!yak from ALDI supermarket.. only going to use it on the canal.. with the wife. Instructions as Very crappy.. Will be using life jackets..
Спасибо!
Yep, Advanced Elements I had as well, it couldn’t carry my weight, sagging in the middle. The pvc were poorly welded, disintegrated very soon. Got a warranty skin replacement, good service and comms here in Australia, but sold it ‘as new’ then. Yes drying in particular from saltwater is tricky, you have to rinse it with freshwater well, or it never drys.
Great video man. A lot of well thought out points. I appreciate you doing the research so we don’t have to.
I like keeping some of that loctite in the house but I'm out & need it to fix a raft, figures right? It's good stuff so off to Home Depot I go, thanks for the video.
I have a "sevylor adventure" (type 2 in this video) and it's ok after 5 years, I dry at home for a night or two.
Well guided video on this subject matter.
Excellent video!
A very helpful and thorough overview.
Great video, thanks for posting
I picked up my wife with a Toyota... I actually agree with this thinking...
I heard from a pretty reliable source that the Avon company is coming out with a hybrid dropstich/folding hard bottom kayak with a drop in pedal/motor kit.

That was the best UA-cam tutorial FYI video I have ever watched regardless of the content thank you so much that was extremely helpful.
They're about 259 now. You cant compare it to 700.00 kayaks
Great info, thank you. Can I one question please, within the cat 3 sector which kyaka has the best back support?
Great review. Just brought home a boat from Sportsman's Warehouse, a Solstice Flare. Amazed at the build quality. Have had a lot of hardshells and canoes but got tired of car topping and trailering. One topic you did not mention is number of chambers. Does it matter? And how?
Our first trip we were in cold water and forgot that the air would shrink. Made a bit out before rushing back to refill.
What a Terrific video!, especially for NUBE, like myself considering which kayak to purchase for the first time. You covered aspects I never thought about, like the need to properly dry Type 2 Kayaks after use...The Sea Eagle Razor Lite is definitely my first choice. Thank you. 😊
Very helpful, especially the point of "drying".
Pretty good review. Well done!
In 2024, thank you 🙏
