We used a 2 chanel scope to test the can bus signal on this Abs pump, when the signal is ok the multi plug conector for Abs module is not conected, but soon as the conector is pluged in, the signal is going crazy. This was a faulty Abs module. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

    That tungsten needs to be ground to a point with grain running lengthwise so the arc focuses to the point and doesn't ball.

      Hi if the part number is the same you don't need any coding, if part number is not the same i don't think you can code it.

      If you contact BBA reman or ECU testing if you are in uk the will replace it for you quite cheap with life time warrenty. Hope that helps.

      @@Classicevolution394 I have the same parts ,2 numbers are same. 1K0 614 517 AE (PUMP) and 1k0 907 379 AC (control unit) I have golf 5 and i bought a control unit and pump with the same numbers from octavia 2. :) it was very cheap, so i hope it will work. PS: I am from czech republic, so it would be complicated :D

      If the part numbers are not the same it will not work! What you can do is follow my video and change only the valve body of the abs pump. Use the original abs ecu, you will have to take it apart....

    Moral of the story is this: you can't get into a stuck trunk, you need to replace the car. There's a reason only 1800 Phaetons were sold in the us and it was considered a marketing failure. The trunk is a 100 percent failure item, as are all the window regulators. I replace my regulators once a year, as that's about how often they fail. I have my trunk repaired about every two years.

    Does the serial number on the hydraulic unit need to be the same as the one being replaced? I ask this if there is a need for this because you're not replacing the control unit and so does not require reprogramming, etc. So could you for example use a second hand pump as long as the serial number on the control unit was the same as yours even if the serial number on the motor or hydraulic unit is different? Thank you

      Hi, you will have to go in to ABS system and check the brake pressure sensor reading on live data. Gently press the brake pedal and look at the readings, it should increase as you depress. It might work if you use a second hand valve unit.

      There is a actually a hidden key lock on the vw logo. Between the letters u can stick ur key into a square "hole" and push it to the right. Look it up at the internet. U have to push it up manually after u unlocked the trunk. Its harded than normal trunk because it has hydraulics

      I don't think i am an idiot, we have tried everything, bidirectional function in the convenience module, tried to use key blade but the lock was siezed! There was no way we could get inside! Also we had a spare boot that we purchased for £100. Is very easy to call somebody idiot. That job costed the customer £300, i think is a fare price including the boot. You can spend hours trying to open it without damage it but every hour is £65!

      Oops. Just drill out the badge then cut the retaining flange holding the lock - then you're in, boot intact. There's no need to destroy the bootlid as with the return inside wouldn't gain access. Repair or replace the incredibly complicated bootlock and badge, job done.
