@TimFarmer these guys are great have worked with them and taught with them and been taught by them
Wow ,very helpful can relate to Anne and Martyn worth watching till end to understand grasp the importance of how it is helping dissection patients friends and family alike. Loved the podcast do not watch many but this was good
Guys that was great 👍
I always liked Taylors model, it helps you feel ok with feeling comfortable about feeling uncomfortable
Your podcasts are great. Id love to watch your sims. I have Addisons. Do you do much Addisons training. Crisis the scariest thing I've ever been through.
Indeed Rosie, you can't separate mental and physical health. Shouldn't we all be dual qualified.
Rosie Doy is an amazing educator. Such talent at UEA healthcare sciences. ODP and Paramedic training is fabulous.
Got a different top 5? Let us know your top 5 bits of sim information...
Awesome!
You wouldnt last 5 minutes in the lowlands on your high horse
Do you think learning outcomes in simulation are too technically focussed?
Yes…or rather technical ones have a place but affective/ exploratory ones have an important place too- see SimCast 39 to explore this more!
Or even…as in one module I used to run…having LOs that students themselves develop that are not about curriculum content but about ‘self’…
Agree with comment- seeing it write as fast as it does is shocking... but will say- this was a wonderful podcast that I am now dropping into a beginning sim course. One of my assignments is "write a scenario using AI (choose your own poison, er program) and then make it conform to the Healthcare simulation Standards of Best Practice.
I find it hard to believe that these "moulage experts" work in film with this skill level
Awesome job, guys! Thanks for coming
Our pleasure. It was a great event that we were glad to be part of.

Absolutely brilliant job Nicola! 👍
Great SimCast video set of short interviews of those who presented at the fabulous Sim & Skills SimTech Live conference last weekend (that was fast editing!) - and it even features me animatedly chatting in the few seconds too lol Keep it up you two - excellent!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was great fun putting the edit together (if not under somewhat of a tight deadline…)
Great podcast, I loved assisting with the design of AKU CIME simulation centre and working with an amazing team member like Jackie!
Good to see more men coming into nursing 👌
Amazing!❤❤
This is incredibly powerful - well done to the production team! As an alumni, I love seeing uea content as powerful as this
Wow, as a former UEA student, I had chills!
Brilliant work Amy
You spoke so well, Imogen. This was so interesting
Great video! Thank you 👏 really informative and love the WcW reference! (Definitely guilty of slipping into tutor mode 😂🙈) P.s there was a mention within the tutor bit about a debrief model ..please may you put the link in for the debrief model , can’t see it in comments 🤔
Thanks for the comment. Our debrief model is discussed in episode 5. Check our SimCast playlist for a back catalogue and you’ll find a link in the description. 😎
Virtual Reality (VR) has the potential to revolutionise multiple fields by harnessing the power of immersive experiences. My dissertation explored the effectiveness of VR in reducing anxiety in children undergoing medical treatment. The promising results from studies in this area suggest that, with further research, VR could be equally beneficial for adults. Additionally, its immersive nature makes VR an ideal tool for education, promoting superior retention of introduced knowledge. As the technology advances, I'm excited to see VR's expanded applications😃
That's my girl go higher

Simulation is a dynamic way to effectively improve learning. As a student, it certainly helped to retain information. Thank you guys 😊
You’re welcome Hannaly. We’re glad you enjoy Simulation Based Education as a way of learning. 😎
Thank you for sharing your story!
What are you babbling about
Hi Emma, lovely to hear your story😊
Hi guys! Really enjoying this simcast series. I'm the lead for simulation at my HEI. I feel very lucky as I have a team of sim academics that have ring-fenced hours for sim. For myself, I'm workloaded 250hrs/year for my lead role, 150hrs/year for sim teaching, and then 200hrs/year for running our sim placement. It sounds like a lot of paper - and yet it never seems like enough!
Ring fenced time… living the dream! Would be interested to hear more about your sim placement.
very encouraging to me as a mature student. Well done ladies
As a 32 year old first year, I always say I'm mid break down too. Interesting that these two newly qualified do too!
Interesting and transforming , I would like to attend simulation instructor course and if there is virtual one will be great
The online component of our Sim Instructor Course can be viewed on here however our one day face to face training day is currently only available in person at UEA, Norwich. We will get in contact with more information shortly.
Great podcast
Thank you , very interesting, how can we link and talk to you
