My mom (Justina Uwakwe) the singer is sitting in our Okpofe village not realizing how far her music has gone around within the Mbaise people in USA. My mom is now 86 years. She sang this song back in 1992.

I agree culture is good.. its only bad when it divides... Look at Nigeria.. No one can get along and everyone has there prejudice... I am so proud of these Igbo Queens... The pageantry of culture is great... however some of the practices in culture are waaaay behind and keep our people behind.. For instance Igbo when women and property and women rights... and outcast and slavery. So yes be proud... BUT DON'T BE TOO PROUD.. US AS AFRICANS HAVE A LOOOOONG WAY TO GO.
