U forgot left blind spot
😂😂my instructos doesn’t told me about left blind spot just right
@@Kiki-kicks don't do left blindspot if parked by the kerb
thanks rly helpful
Perfect video for learners that have their test coming up. Great explanation🙏
Hey, this is Revit up. can i featured your videos in next compilation video? Linked and credited on screen. Thank You !
Yes sure no worries
@@rob2221988 thank you!
Best explanation ive ever seen thank you
When I upshift, do I have to accelerate as I'm lifting the clutch or should I release the clutch fully and only then start to accelerate again?
Release the gas before pressing the clutch down. If you don’t the engine revs will shoot up
Could you make a video moving off by using the clutch first then the accelerator?
Can you do a video of gearing down so for example when you approach a roundabout the right time to be thinking about changing gears and the speed you need etc
Gear change timing depends on your car and what speeds each gear allows. As a general rule I would look to approach a roundabout in 2nd gear somewhere between 10 and 15 mph and from far enough out that it feels safe without being too slow and holding up traffic behind you too early, depending on the view and how busy it is. In 2nd you should be then be slow enough to stop and change to 1st if you can’t go or if it is clear then you can usually stay in 2nd. Ultimately your speed will dictate the gear needed and the speed is dictated by the view so if it is clear you shouldn’t need to slow down below 2nd gear. Feel the car, if it starts to shudder then you have tried to go to slow for your current gear
If you need to stop before the roundabout take of in 1 gear and as soon as your steering position is looked in place shift to 2 gear
I started driving manual ab 3 weeks ago, i start giving gas(second gear and up) once It gets to the bite point, is that bad?
You should look to use the gas when moving away in 1st gear unless you are parking or manoeuvring and having to move slowly and withe care. Gas when moving away will help keep the engine speed up and reduce chances or stalling or slow move away in traffic. You only need about 1,000 revs or so. On a hill use roughly 1,500 revs
So when I go to second I don’t have to find the bite point just release it all the way?
The bite is for when moving away in 1st gear. If you have changed up to 2nd a little early you can temporarily hold at this point though to avoid a jumpy gear shift up. You should be able to feel that through the pedal but generally you don’t find the bit in 2nd

I'm a finger shifter
Literally the first thing I was taught at my driving lessons.
What car is this?
My hand just automatically started doing this after a while. However some sticks are short like some of the new Volvo sticks. It's best to go easy on it and "pinch" it sort of.
i thought this was some naruto shit
Which car is this, the interior looks nice
Looks like a Peugeot 308.
not sure how using the palm makes us more certain we have the right gear compared to simply grabbing, just aim in the right direction like you said, whatever the way the stick was grabbed
I hate changing to 5th
Wait i do this naturally, i thought it was natural....
Learned this by watching my dad drive his car. Seemed a bit silly from a newbie’s point of view, but after I started driving on my own, it actually turned out to be very comfortable!
Thank you bro.. I already forgot this technique 😐
I thought everyone did this... How do people do it any other way?
This is the most natural way for me.
Up next: the ankle hinge technique (read walking)
Random question: How do you engage the reverse gear position in this car (I know it varies in different car makes)
You pull the black thing below the knob upwards and go to the far left and forward
@@dasauto3747 thanks for the response!
Starting at the driving School here in Brazil, i get used to do this on my on, i realized that is no good to grab the shift knob everytime, so i Just used the Palm, helped me to change gears more often and choose the right gear faster, great vídeo
Whoever looks on the shifter while shifting is a bad driver.
or just starting out but yeah I agree
@@Lyosey I mean, the first time you see the gears position it should already be natural. I know them by heart since I was like... 6 just from watching my dad drive. And now without any license I drive old Golfs in a village when I have a chance lol
Well my shifter nob had the drawings with the gear positions erased from old age so I never looked at them
This is the first thing my instructor thaught me
Why wouldn't you be able to look at the road when shifting normally?
Hmmm
More common to novice driver
@@ctrlv6196 im sorry. I dont get it. Could you please explain yourself😀
@luca Andre new drivers who aren't used to drive manual cars
@@lucaandre723 new drivers have a tendency to look at the shifter during their first driving lessons
At first I was like why are there pedals on the LHS too?? Then I realised must be a driving school car😄
The guy is probably a driver instructor.
Wait doesn't that come naturally to everyone though💀
I was gonna say this is everyone should do naturally. In the U.K. you can fail your driving test for looking down when shifting gears
Literally done it like this since I first started driving.
@@omarzxpro5030 yeah I mean it’s not like the gears go anywhere? So there’s rlly no need to look
@@marioortiz7264 most people look down to find which gear they are in currently
1:37 replay button XD
I use this technique... and it's really helpful
Is this really necessary?
Prolly depends on the person, i personally just have my hands the same way on the shift after a while u memorize all the gears anyway.
People don't teach how to shift gear, which is weird 🤔
I think I did something wrong… my car is now flying.
I only palm on RHD cars but I don't with LHD.
Are you stupid ?
@@gamespecies what do you mean?
@@Alex-vz2jz why would you not palm on LHD ? It’s the same concept
@@gamespecies but different hands so it doesn't feel the same for me.
Very good tips, but why does your transmission sound so rough?
🤷♂️ engine was off and I wasn’t engaging the clutch possibly. It was always fine when shifting on the move. Don’t have the car any longer
Nehchi fih, jebt esid men sormou fibelek?
Very helpful
wow
I removed the battery from the car. then insert a new battery But it can't start the engine. why is it ______RCZ 1.6
Hi there iv got a 2014 peguot 308 do i need to update the software of my car at main peguot dealers. Or can i do it at local garage. Thank you.
I have looked into this myself and you can take it to Peugeot for an update or download to a usb yourself. I believe both cost around £60-£70. You need to use a desktop to do it yourself navigation.peugeot.co.uk/map-system-updates/
