July 1 was a good night for strong stations coming in clearer than usual. This one was during their evening (ET) English broadcast at 0000-0100. Antenna was a pa0rdt mini-whip mounted 20 feet in the air.
Comparing Three Shortwave Antennas

I run a comparison of 3 shortwave antennas: a mini-whip about 20 feet in the air, a 50' long wire antenna about 20 feet up, and the Chinese MLA-40 mag loop antenna. Each segment is labeled.

Loosey Goosey or a ballet on ice

A bit like watching paint dry, but these geese have some funny moments. I caught this in 2010 near a State Park in winter.
Maaf bos, sy perlu head ya ada kha, yg baru berapa harganya
Saya tidak menjualnya, hanya membuat videonya. Di AS, harganya hampir 500 dolar AS.
Any tips on how to remove the carriage? Thank you
Sorry, haven't had the need, so haven't looked at that.
Very well explained!!!
This video, together with a WOKOK $8 printhead cleaning kit from Amazon, saved my Epson SC P 600 printer. The magenta ink was completely clogged with dried ink, and removing the prinhead as shown here, then injecting the solution in the WOKOK kit, unclogged it. I had to do several cleaning cycles afterwards to load up the ink back in and to finish cleaning the printhead, and that was it. The printer now works like new. Less than $10 saved me close to $1000 in printer and inks. It also saved a printer from going to the recycling center or the dumpster. Thank you very much for your video instructions!
My pleasure

So funny to see them advance in a row and walk over the ice 🥰 cute
Best p600 dis-assembly video I have seen - though an index will be handy.

I have a P900..... Hopefully, it is the same...
The black on both matt and gloss sides has totally clogged and the printer's own head cleaning is completely ineffective. I've been looking everywhere for the solution and thanks to you I think I've found it - now I just have to get the distilled water as you used, and get started!
Size of the hose to clean it ?
There isn't a specific size as it can depend upon your syringe needle. My tubing (not hose) is about 5mm wide with a 3mm opening.
thank you so much for sharing this. Iv done everything to avoid this, but good lesson taught and learnt. I have the confidence to do it again when needed.
Thank you for an excellent video!
Hello, where do I get the syringe and tube to flush? Is there a specific size for the tube? I need to try this as I've tried everything else.
The company I purchased mine from no longer seems to be in business. You can find them on Amazon under ink syringe. The tube is the same kind of material used in fish tanks, etc.
Thanks, very good.
Thanks for use your time to help others . I hope to put solve my problem with the magenta color head. I repeat Thank You very much from Girona.
This is very helpful. Thanks for posting. Did flushing the print head resolve your issues with yellow? I ask because that's the color I'm having problems with.
Actually, no. I am still trying to see if I can resolve it without the need to buy a printhead. That costs more than the printer, which I would sell as for parts before I do that. (Unless I could get a working printhead cheaply though doubt that).
Thank you for the guide!
I followed these steps for my Epson P600 but when I put the printer back together it made a horrible grinding type sound and is displaying error code 0 x 01. Powering off and on results in same sound and error message. I can't get past powering on. I double checked that I put everything back together correctly. Can anyone help me identify the problem?
Thank you for taking the time to help others. For a long time I was wondering how I could dismount and clean my printhead on my own. I had repetitive problems, clogged nozzles and color dominants for a couple of years. No cleaning cycle would get rid of it. Epson asked for 600€ for a head replacement... basically the price of the printer itself
I agree 100%. One of the reasons I came to try to see if I could clean my own. Parts are usually the killers for keeping these printers running.
as a canon user, i laughed watching this video. How can just replacing printhead need a lot of work, i have canon pro 4000 which is larger printer than this one, and i can change the printhead, remove the printhead as easy as 1 2 3
I took my printhead out then pulled the lines out of my dampers, ink ended up splashing in a few unwanted places like onto some of my cables and encoder strip. No electronic boards as I could see. I spent hours looking for and cleaning(with 91% Alcohol and long tipped Q tips and paper towels) lightly wiping everything down then drying with dry Qtips until I was satisfied that everything was very clean (checked every nook and cranny I could find)…my question is, If I let the printer sit for about a week or two just to make sure it’s dry. Would it be ok to reassemble or is it completely damaged ?! Everything was off and unplugged and the printhead was already removed when it happened.
I completed the disassembly, however after reassembling, the printer cannot recognize my ink cartridges. The menu also only starts up on Inspection mode. After going to "normal mode"--it's in Japanese! Oh dear.
I cannot thank you enough for saving my P600! This was the best step buy step disassembly. It was my first time really opening up an expensive printer. I've tried everything to avoid having to do this. I was able to restore 3/4 colors by using the 50/50 Windex/IPA damp paper towel and sliding under the printhead overnight. But Magenta was not printing at all. I removed the printhead and flushed each color and reassembled. After a few nozzle cleaning runs to get the cleaning solution out, my P600 is working excellent again. Thank you!
Glad I could help.
Found this printer in my storage unit and my wife wanted to throw it away since it wouldn't dispense ink. I told her I bet it's on UA-cam on how to clean the print head and you're the first result under the search "SCP600". So thanks for helping me convince her I can fix it 😂😂
Glad to be of help!
Thankyou so much, you made this as uncomplicated as possible for me 🤣 xx
Exactly what I was looking for! My printhead is playing up and no amount of print head cleaning has solved the problem. Your demonstration is very clear and easy to follow!! Thank you!
Did cleaning the print head work out OK for you when you reassembled. Did you all the colours work?
Yes, but it did not resolve my main problem, which is that a yellow line appears across the text page in a couple of places. I cannot figure out what is causing it and might have to disconnect the whole inking assembly. This is something I am not looking forward to doing. Even then, I am not sure it will resolve the problem.
Thank you very much My Brather for this video The Printer head for P600 No difference R3000
To me, the long wire does better
Agree
Thanks, might be useful, soon. My printer stopped to print black (both types of ink). I still hope I get things cleaned without dissasembling....
Too many things to click on for me :) I'll stick with my old Hallicrafters S-40A
