Ciat Lonbarde Plumbuter + Din Datin Dudero Stuber: 🎧 stretching 🎧
Stuber Stretch and Sketch #2: i’ve been getting so stressed out dealing with equipment and communication between equipment that i need to find that sense of peace i had when i first started patching - no expectations for what came out. it was just playful and fun. introducing the Stuber has given me a little bit of that back.

lovely!!! wheres the sound source from?
i was playing a metallic mallet instrument, kind of a xylophone, at playground. you can hear children in the background here and there. happy you enjoyed it!
This is beautiful! I’m eying the tape and micro… I already own a small eurorack case with a few modules (including a matshs clone and a intellijek rainmaker) but I think this being a setup on its own! It’s super hard and expensive to get modules where I live, si I might pull the trigger on a trip I’m taking to the US soon
@@josehaya6362 thank you 🙏 very cool - excited for you! it’s quite a system and covers a lot of ground.
@@innersonicsoundsystemthx!! What’s the sound source in this patch?
@@josehaya6362i made a short sequence in an app called Poly 2. it’s really slowed down by MG, of course :) if you’d like to hear a collection of these, i’ve got them on Bandcamp under Sonic Relaxation Lab - Floating.

@@Hildrafon that makes two of us 🤣 happy you enjoyed it - thanks!
Finally listening to this on headphones. So sick! The drone through the random-ish-ly-modulated-Stuber sounds so good! Have you tried swapping Rollzer with the DK? I love using that to get rhythmic weirdness from the Stuber, might be fun with your TMMM drones.
@@evnander thank you! yes i did actually, but it wasn’t as successful as this one, but… now that i’ve done this, i think i can circle back with more success. thank you for the encouragement 🙏😀
Any issues with the Bluebox? How was it used in this setup?
@@AndrewLagowski for what it is and the space that it takes up, i’m quite happy with it. no issues, but i haven’t tried to record with it yet. i know a lot of people are frustrated that it’s not an interface as well. I’m just using it to mix all the CL instruments with an effects loop to the Stuber. stereo out of the bluebox to my Focusrite interface directly to my iPad camera app. you can msg me on IG if you’ve got some more questions. thanks for checking out the patch!
Thank you 🙏
The compression does wonders to the rollz spikes
are you saying that the Stuber is adding compression or you think i should add compression?
@@innersonicsoundsystem It sounds like there's some kind of compression or sidechaining type thing going on. Whatever the case, it sounds great

@@innersonicsoundsystem I wanna get my hands on an SP-404, too! it looks like a blast as an effects processor! I heard it's a bit of a learning curve with all the button combos. How's it going for you?
@@ttnowas for my surface level use and understanding of it, it’s not bad. all the pads are clearly marked with good hints of what you might be looking for. all the rest of my rig is pretty much 1 knob per function, so this is already a challenge, but it seems manageable compared to something like the Octatrack. i may feel differently if i start getting into using it as a sampler though!
@@innersonicsoundsystem Thanks for the info! You're making me want the SP even more now 😄
Have you got an eta for your clicker?
@@SirSybian no plans on buying one as of yet. i’m not sure i would know what to do with it. i’ve got to put some serious time into Stuber before getting into all the new stuff although i’m quite excited that Peter might retool some of the classic CL instruments using the LM3900.
@@innersonicsoundsystem yep, potentially interesting time ahead

@@Cannonharrt thank you - happy it spoke to you! 🙏
what’s that white mineral under the instrument?
it’s selenite which is supposed to be good for clarifying the space. i really feel like i need it with my non-wood synths.
This is sick!
dude, thank you! 🙏 i appreciate the encouragement and help with the 404. hope to pick your brain a bit about compression and saturation 😀
the sound of the sidrax sounds a bit more raw than in other videos i have found, where it sounds sweet but also a bit boring. How did you do that, do you have any external processing or is that the sound of the coco? i really like the sound of the sidrax here, but normally it sounds less interesting to me.
@@ernestoA2 thanks and i totally agree! two things are going on here. with the exception of @sweetearthflying , i haven’t heard too many people patch the reds into blues which changes it from triangle to square wave (my understanding). i almost exclusively send it through coco which adds some dirt/complexity to the sound. you can overdrive the VCA or lower the input and raise the output to give it a real crusty sound. thanks for checking out the patch! 🙏
Great stuff! How did you sync the two?
@@AllisterDotDash thank you! honestly, i don’t remember, but the double knots are easy to sync. they’ve got both a 3.5mm clock input, as well as a banana clock in :)
nice performance. really patient, testing all the possibilities of one setup, well done!
@@TheYannickOne thank you! 🙏 this is one of my all time favorites 😀 i miss time with single instruments. it’s been fun combining them all, but it’s a fun challenge to see how much you can make the most of the limitations.

@@MichaelBrown-u7u thank you for checking out my patches and enjoying them! 😀 feel free to reach out on IG if you want to chat. DK is one of my favorites. the only danger of getting one is that you’ll want two! worth mentioning, all of the different generations have their own sound. i’ve got v2. i think v3 might be the one that sounds the most different/least DK. i haven’t done much with them yet, but Plumbutter sounds great with DK. if you haven’t spotted it yet, i’ve got a recording of two DKs, a Keyed Mosstone, and Wingie on Bandcamp under my Sonic Relaxation Lab moniker. i’m working on a project now with 2 DKs, Wingie, and Multicassa as the rhythm section. it’s going to be fun :)

@@bamboo2229 thank you - happy you enjoyed it! i’ve been itching to get back on bass clarinet. hopefully soon 😀
Very cool. Any precautions you take when patching between the two?
thank you for the reminder about pairing these two. don’t know why i haven’t done more of this! precautions - SO many! i really wish i had a format jumbler with negative voltage protection. DK can’t accept negative voltages, so no browns (watch out for accidentally patching browns in that would be indirectly connected). i’ve heard oranges out of MWTRS also can go negative. if you have something to measure voltages, you may want to check before cross patching. you can search or ask questions on the lines forum for further info. yeah, i think it gets a little limited patching between them because of that, but still sounds great! 😀
What I've heard from Peterlin before, didn't really resonate with me, but this sounds amazing!
thank you so much! it’s really hit or miss with me. i just bought a Stuber and i’m selling my Peterlin. not that they’re the same, but i think i’ll get everything i was hoping to get out of the Peterlin and more from the Stuber. that said, i’ve had some magical moments with the Peterlin, but they’ve been so fleeting for me. i just can’t wrap my head around this thing.

@innersonicsoundsystem oh yeah, I saw that LW panel. It's gorgeous, I'm always happy to help you learn the ways of the Serge!
@@musicalfungus would love that! i’m the 2nd owner. it’s got a bi n tic filter - very hard to find any info on. really don’t know how to use it. i’ll start working through the gold book and get some questions together. what’s a good way to reach you?
Cool jam. I have a DKv3 and been considering getting another v1 or v2 if I can find a good deal. You think it’s worth having 2?
thanks! i’ve been thinking the same thing about a v3. i don’t think the v1 would give you that much of a difference, except in sound, but v2 would give you a logic module and clock dividers. absolutely love my v2s, especially the snappy envelope, but i think the CR and FG were probably created to cross patch with v3. hope that helps.
@@innersonicsoundsystem i paired a doubleknot v3 with a Peterlin, a very cost-effective little banana system... they can send each other CV, they have very different voices, you can even run the doubleknot into the peterlin's audio input!
@@innersonicsoundsystem that exactly what I was thinking. V2 looks interesting.
@@father_moo I didn’t even think about that! I have a Peterlin and Golden Section I need to try out with the DKv3

Those both look like fantastic machines! Looking forward to playing with them some day. Really stoked to see these new instruments being released from Lorre Mill
me, too! i hope he keeps going with this concept. i feel like if i had a DK v3, i’d get more out of the patch points, but i’ll start patching up the Serge panel and it should get even more interesting :)
These pair so well together. The patchability of them is excellent.
@@ieat3141592 i’m excited to delve in more. it looks like they can handle some negative voltages, as well. just need to educate myself on how low the CL voltages go. if i only had someplace to look that up… 😀
