    Fun video topic and done well, I appreciated the cuts of different Frankenstein movies, especially the goofy ones, I'm a sucker for Young Frankenstein, so I like the first minifig and the zipper gag details :) You should definitely do more of the vampire, and other monsters, even if you can't do it all in the span of October, I know editing can be daunting, I'd definitely watch a series of these no matter the date!!!! :)

    Gotta be the devil in the details. The "big red panel piece" on the shuttle is just bend vinyl. Kinda like lego sails and tents. And its dark gold, not red. Its by far the most dissapointing thing about the set. Made for a lazy build. You missed some details about the Tube Hanger. The colored docking stations for the mechs. Also one of the martians, Anteras his torso does not have a sand color. He's regular white.

    Hello there. Here's another proud owner of 5956: i found it back in 1999 in a little supermarket, it was the only one there and of course if you saw that as a kid you would immediatly want it. It was summer (perfect time for such theme) and i remember playing with it so much, destroying the set, rebuilding it again, exploring the house with it.. good times. As far as playability goes it was a bit hard to play with the minifigs with such big balloon in the way, i remember trying different custom builds around it but with little success. I still have the balloon in good conditions, the fact that you can screw the back and store stuff inside is such a cool feature.

    • @BradentesGameRoom
      @BradentesGameRoom 2 місяці тому

      @@luckyx3798 Awesome story! I bet the balloon was hard to use in custom builds. Such a unique piece, one of the coolest in the line. Would have def stood out on the store shelves compared to everyone else!

    • @luckyx3798
      @luckyx3798 2 місяці тому

      @@BradentesGameRoom Indeed, it was such an odd choice to have the balloon popping up from the box. Not really that inconspicuous, but it was one of a kind, and it was a complete surprise as well since i didn't see any advertisment. Speaking of custom builds: it was really hard to do anything those days without internet, Bricklink and other mocs to compare yourself.

    Viking river splash was my favourite ive ridden it atleast 25 times the cold mists from the ribcage the pouring barrel of water dumping on you the rats squirting you with water and the massive dragons it was awesome Unfortunately they dialed down the speed after a kid died on a similar ride which made it less fun you used to have to cling on to not be flung around in your seat but i can understand why Main problem was that lots of it was broken constantly, most visits the barrel wasnt working or the crowd controlled water cannons were out of order or the spitting rats or statues were down or something Still though, so damn fun

    Whenever someone asks me what my favorite LEGO theme is (which is not very often unfortunately), I always say 2005-06 Vikings. My ancestry is basically all Scandinavian, and in my opinion LEGO creature design peaked with Vikings' hybrid Technic-System dragons. Don't get me wrong, some of the fully System creatures LEGO achieves today are quite impressive, but especially for its time Vikings' use of Technic parts for its creatures made them feel more organic/alive somehow. I am currently working on a MOC project designing creatures from How to Train Your Dragon (as well as some of my own ideas) in a LEGO Vikings style attempting to expand the theme's lore and setting which I feel did not last long enough as an official theme.

    I have such vivid memories of getting every one of these sets as a kid (except for 5906, darn it). One of the cool things about the smaller sets was the minifigures; as a set 25 years later 5901 doesn't have much going for it, but at the time it was the fastest and cheapest way to get the "evil Johnny Thunder" Rudo Villaino, with the new black hat. 5925 was also exciting because Harry Cane was a much rarer figure before then, only appearing in two larger sets in the Egypt theme (one of which was harder to find in the US.) And boy oh boy, the Wal-Mart near me had an entire endcap of 5956s on deep discount back in the day. At the time I'd already got one, but now I wish I'd picked up a few spares just in case.
