Endless views from Bonnie Vale in Royal National Park

We travel further south from Barrington Tops National Park through Sydney to Australia's heritage-listed Royal National Park (link to Barrington Tops video below).
We were told about Bonnie Vale Campground by some travellers on our trek through Queensland last year and we are so glad we took their advice - it's just an hour out of Sydney and right on a protected bay.
We spend our weekend riding around, spending time at the protected waterfront and take the oldest running timetabled commuter ferry across to Cronulla.
We make a trip to Wattamolla Falls in the park before trekking further south through the Great Pacific Drive to Kiama.

We trek a little further into NSW and discover the rugged beauty of Barrington Tops National Park. Gummi Falls Campground is certainly a winner and one we'll be back to one day and the whole park has plenty to explore with waterfalls, short hikes, vistas for days and lots and lots of mud (after the winter closures) through the central trails.

Join us as we spend a weekend in Imbil before being rained out. We stay at Imbil Camping Retreat - on a picturesque creekside campsite, ride the rail trail, take a look at the historic railway and locomotive, kayak in Yabba Creek to the Weir and check out the local skatepark and country town of Imbil.

We spend a weekend up at O'Reilly's campground in the depths of Winter - what were we thinking?! The views are great but the sites are small. Definitely a good base for hiking the various walks in the Lamington National Park.

We got an camper!! Rain or shine, we were determined to do a shakedown trip to Neurum Creek in the D'Aguilar National Park. We check out the nearby creek, Rocky Hole, The Gantry, do a short walk to Falls Lookout.

Yes...we liked it that much last time we decided Pebbly Beach was worth another trip for a second year in a row. Stick around at the end for the water crossing through Station Creek in the Yuraygir National Park. Beachfront camping at Brooms Head

Join us on our weekend camping adventure to Brooms Head - quite possibly the best - easy to access - beachfront camping just east of Maclean on the mid-north coast of NSW. We stop in at Woodburn for a roadtrip pit stop for a stretch of our legs and run around with the kids and on the way home stop in at the very pretty Lake Ainsworth at Lennox Head.

The final leg - Airlie to Burrum Heads

We head south for the final leg of our caravanning holiday, making our way from Airlie Beach to Burrum Shores. On the way through Finch Hatton stumble on a hidden gem called Platypus Bush Camp and stay at an awesome hipcamp at Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground.

This is the third installment of our caravanning holiday up the Queensland coast. From Elliott Heads to Yeppoon, we finally make it to Airlie Beach. On our way, we stumble on the beautifully restored Homestead at Lotus Creek. At Airlie, we stay at the Big4 Adventure Whitsundays Resort break up the week, by litte ventures to Hideaway Bay and the very dry Cedar Creek Falls.
