Try holding the unlock and lock with eachother and it will honk then it will work when u lock it Also I had this kind of problem with the Kia rio 2014

What is the part called to order it?? A year ago I had an engine replacement done on my hyundai tuscan 2015. I realized the same day that suddenly the locking honk was gone because its the only way i can ever remember if I've locked my vehicle. When i asked the hyundai dealership why it stopped working after they fixed my car up, they said they'd need me to leave my car there for about a week for them to figure it out. I couldn't do that with work so I have tried to accept its never going to work. Here i am, a year later at 230am seeing this video and IT WORKED. MY CAR HONKS WHEN I LOCK IT NOW. Thank you so much for this! Please let me know what the part i need to order would be called!

Awesome tip!! My alarm went off in the middle of the night and I had no clue what happened. Then the car wouldn't honk the horn when locking. That switch in the engine was falling off. I just tight it and now it's working.

So I need to take off that little knob ? In order to get it to make the honking noise ? Do I need to have that rubber piece on ?

Worked for my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Horn wouldn’t sound when locking and alarm would go off randomly. I just disconnected the button the rubber foot pushes on and have had no problems since.
