By default, APM Insight agent monitors known frameworks and libraries in your application code. However, there may be certain methods which may not be instrumented by the agent. Such kind of code are classified as ' un-instrumented block of code'. If you prefer to monitor these blocks of code, you can instrument them using custom instrumentation. Custom instrumentation allows you to monitor specific blocks of your application code. Yes, we capture the Response esponse code along with the transaction. This can be obtained in the trace tab. Upon selecting each transaction, we will show the response code and request.

You monitor the application with JRE monitor and measure metrics like thread dumps , heap dumps, when the CPU/Memory is highly used. This will help you analyze which part of the code is having trouble in that application.

With APM Insight you can monitor the Application slowness by the below metrics. 1.) Slow transactions 2.) Slow Database calls 3.) Error Trace With Trace, you can find the transaction using more CPU time and find the root cause of the issue. There could be lot of exceptions and errors which might slow down and crash the Application as well. This can be monitored with the agent.
