Scott Pilgrim Movie and Comic Comparison
Made this for a class project last year. Essentially, the reason for it was because I wanted to show what a good adaption looked like and couldn't find a similar video; making it myself was simply the only option. Spent about 7-8 hours editing?

One thing to note about this comparison is that it glossed over this important detail: In the movie Scott tosses something at Matt, thereby taking him out himself. In the comics they make the power of friendship power pose, which IMO is one of the few faux pas the movie fixes. Afterall, Scott is oblivious to how dysfunctional his little circle is, and the comic actually kind of misdirects from that story detail by making them all have a "power of friendship" ability that they took out in the movie in favor of Scott doing it himself.

My gosh. It’s insane to me that most of the movie cast are the same people who played the same characters in the anime. That’s dedication anyone can respect
Got to appreciate how they were able to bring back most if not all the actors from the film, even though it’s been 13 years and many of the names have gotten big since.

Regarding the first fight scene in both, it actually was a bit longer in the comic and had all of Sex Bob-omb singing a verse and it was them rather than Matthew Patel who didn't rhyme. On top of that, in yhe movie everyone is surprised of Scott's fighting skills while in the comic its established by Kim if I remember correctly, that Scott is alread a great fighter. Oh, and Crash and the Boys didn't die in the comic and helped Scott fight Todd and his vegan powers.
All that is lost, we will never see It animated

He deadpanned an extremely expressive character. It really didn't do the character justice. At least he's getting a second chance.
Yeah I feel like his voice suits him, but his face really doesn’t. They also made him an even bigger asshole to Knives for some reason
@@finn4135 He's being noticeably more expressive with his voice this time around, and it's much more fitting to the character's facial expressions that the animated version is carrying over from the comic.

The Netflix series is an Anime, the Comic however isn't an Manga (Neither does Bryan Lee O'Malley consider it as one)
