Nice video. Gorgeous photography. Great music.
Good video. Thanks for posting it for us.
You’re welcome! We are glad you found it helpful.
What are you using to hold those ladders under the bed
What percent tint did you do?
I’m pretty sure we did around 60%. We didn’t want to darken the rv too much during the day! Hope this helps
Thanks for such a detailed video! Really nice to see a thicker desk on the happi-jac rails. How has it held up over time?
Thank you for watching and we are glad your enjoyed! The desk is still holding up well! We have had plants, an ice machine, and various other items on the desk and there have been essentially no issues or concerns. We do not recommend this but there have been only a few times where we have had to step on the desk as a step (when the bed was lowered) and it held up just fine. Again, this was just a few times and we do not regularly use it as a step. We are very happy with the desk!
@@WeLiveFreeRV great to hear, thank you!
what kind and what size toy hauler do you have? I'm a newbie
Congratulations and welcome to the RV community! We have a Grand Design Momentum 397 TH (Toy Hauler) that is about 44 feet long.
@@WeLiveFreeRVI’m hoping to purchase something very similar in the next month. I’ve worked remotely since 2009 and finally able to start this venture. How limited are you on the places you can venture?
@danvanrider5923. That is a tough question to answer. We have never been unable to visit a location (or destination). In that case we have been great. We have been unable to fit in specific campgrounds that at those destinations. For example our rig is way too big for most national park, state park etc rv campgrounds (some exceptions). It has never stopped the fun and joy of traveling with our house everywhere. It just means sometimes we have to drive a little further each day when exploring. For example: you can find campgrounds in Yellowstone national park to stay in but we don’t necessarily fit (ie built for 30ft campers or smaller). So we stayed outside the park, which did add to our daily driving around by 30-45 Minutes each way. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information/ explanation.
Good video first time watching and I just ordered everything you have. Can you give us an update after using this setup as to how your water is tasting ?. Old School
Good evening! The water was sparkly clear and tasted great. We recently just broke our’s (Jeff’s fault) we are currently working on a different setup but it was great while it lasted lol. The true hardest part of this was making sure everything was watertight. Good luck and happy modding! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
Thanks for the detailed video! I did one ski a couple weeks ago and now I am going to do the other 3. I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't remember the name of the "butyl tape" I also had to replace the plastic block screwed to the inside of the trailer where the ski glides. Mine was torn up from using the slide with the ski missing. It chewed up the block quite a bit.
We are glad this was helpful to you. Let us know how the repairs hold up. Safe travels.
Last comment I have never seen that many people there. Maybe one other group of friends every once in a while. I know this video is 4 years old . I guess word has gotten out about the place. Did you guys go to the Pearl River? I always went straight across the tracks, to the Pearl and then follow the little stream back into the bluff. That little stream runs right into the Pearl. It's really nice. And did you see the 1968 train derailment? An Engine went in the river and was removed. That Engine was repaired and still in use
Love your dogs. I have a male long haired. Pretty much the only breed I knew of growing up. My grandpa had one in a truck he was driving in the Persian Gulf Command WW2. Short version of the story the truck turned over. He was unconscious and the truck caught fire. The German Shepherd was able to drag him out and saved his life. I have a picture of my grandpa and the Shepard who is responsible for my grandpa, mom, aunt , uncle, three cousins, brother, niece, nephew, my cousin's kids. All would have never been if not for a German Shepherd.
I live about 45 minutes from the bluff. Been going there for 30 years. Don't remember ever getting orange stains but I guess it is possible. Beautiful place. Hard to capture the beauty on camera really
Hey Capt jay here ,great video ,going todo mine soon,,go buffalo bills, thank you
So you’re upgrading to the Dometic 320 from the Thetford.
That’s correct! It was absolutely worth it!
I was raised close by the bluff, played in it growing up,haven’t been up close for several years now looks like a lot more erosion than I remember, too old now to hike ❤️👍
You're finding leaks (and will continue to find leaks) because you've got flexible hose and pex connected to the same fittings...that's guaranteed to leak...sorry.
Hey Paula, You are spot on, we actually ended up redoing the whole system to pex. We just haven’t had a chance to make a video on it! Keep the feedback coming! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
Jad to wait more then half way through to see the tinting be done what a waste of time you are
Good afternoon Ginger Flowers, Thank you for your kind and respectful feedback. We try to document the whole process so people understand the process. We hope you have a great day. Stay Classy. Very respectfully, Jeff
nice video, good drone shots ( might not want to drone over lifestock, they get spooked by drones ) you need to come back during the latter part of the summer, when the Sunflower fields are in full bloom , if you haven't seen a few hundred acres of Sunflowers in bloom,,,,,its worth a trip.........ua-cam.com/video/1w-j5WOzHzA/v-deo.htmlsi=549gZD60_6kCXQyw
Isn't it amazing to feel like you're stepping back in time in some of these towns?!?! The Route never disappoints, thanks for taking us on your trip.
Thank you so much! It was exciting for sure! It was definitely like traveling through time!
What did Kelderman say about that passenger side boot flopping over?
I’ll be honest we got so busy we didn’t reach out. We have towed about 15000 miles since and had 0 issues!
Awesome, love the info screens and as usual, Beautiful!
I noticed that you put the ski on the outside of the trailer wall, all campers rot out because water gets behind the ski causes rot. I had to replace our floor and redesigned the ski to fit in behind the wall and the new floor so water can’t get behind the ski.
Really! When you say behind the wall are you saying behind the fiberglass?
@@WeLiveFreeRV Yes
That’s awesome! I wish I’d have thought about that. Did you have any separation between your fiberglass and the wall behind it? I’m sure the slide ski is seated nicely but I wonder how the ridge of the slide ski impacts that. You should do a video about it! Thank you for sharing! It helps the rv community grow! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
@@WeLiveFreeRV yes there is a small gap for it to slide into.
Who hooo!
Thanks for the information! You taught me a valuable lesson with the caulk! Great job to you both!
We are glad to help! Thank you for watching.

the scenery was really great...
Great memories! Fun adventure
Great video. This is the best I found and I completed the mod today. SO MUCH more quiet.
Thank you for watching. We are glad this worked out for you. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, just let us know.
Beautiful
Beautiful scenery, you are so lucky to get to travel so often, im very glad for you...
I had already seen the Mississippi Grand Canyon on Mississippi Roads. But it was nice to see it again. You guys did a good job of showing it. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO. Many people may have not see it before. 🙂👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching! We are glad you enjoyed it.
Just did this to my Coleman mach unit. Seems to be working and a few decibels quieter, about 5. My question is that you lose the two big vents on the face plate of the unit. Seems like we lose a lot of cooling without those. Do you feel like the over all new airflow is good enough to make up for the loss of those vents? Fun job.
Good afternoon! We’re glad you enjoyed the project! Yes we did lose the dump vents but our rig stays plenty cool! Even in the 100+ Texas summers. We don’t miss the dump vents at all. We are getting great circulation through the racetrack ductwork! We hope this helps! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
@@WeLiveFreeRV Thanks for the reply. I am getting used to it and it does work great. I guess I just miss the initial cool air dump when you first walk into a hot rv. Keep up the good work!
Sooo don’t listen to weather reports, got it 👍beautiful shots as usual ❤
Any tips for reducing the noise on a ductless Grand Design with a single 13500 btu ac?
Good evening! Ductless is a challenge. We are not specifically aware of any solution for that. We don't think this will help it get quieter but you can check to make sure you don't have any gaps and seal them with HVAC tape. It can make it more efficient. Sorry!
Get rid of the rubber hose, use only PEX. Pex is not PVC, so you dont need so many fittings.
Good Morning. Thank You for all the info. Jack
I’ve heard plastic not withstanding pressure in many reviews. What is your experience so far?
Good morning, We initially had an issue with a small leak but that was our error with pipe tape. After that no issues from this system. The fittings were all brass to brass. Meaning inside the plastic housing were brass connection points.
Add a water softener and you'll be set!!
Ive seen many videos of jacking up the slide but no one mentions about dissconnecting the slide out rails from the slide, there are little plastic buttons inside of the channels where the slide out arms ride on. These buttons keeps the rails centered inside of the channel allowing for smooth operating. By jacking up the slide without disconnecting you will damage these small alignment buttons and cause major issues in the future. Gotta disconnect the slide from the rails before jacking up.
Was this done for this video? Cause I’m replacing mine this week and need to know!
Hey Jeanie! Sorry for the delayed response. We didn't remove the little plastic buttons, we haven't had any issues on our end. As for the slide skis we absolutely had to replace ours. They were in bad shape.
@@WeLiveFreeRV I didnt say remove the plastic buttons from inside the channel, disconnect the rail/rack from the slide. When you jack up the slide the way you did you are moving to entire rack and pinion, the two arms that connect to the slide and possibly bending or tweaking the metal that secures the rack and pinion to the underside. Glad you dont have issues. If you place excessive pressure against the alignment buttons you will have future issues, broken gear packs are the usual result. I've been repairing RV's for 35 years. But, what do I know, just trying to help
Good afternoon @betterthanideserve76, Thank you again for clarifying! We weren’t questioning you at all! We love getting feedback like this as it makes the entire community better. We wish you the absolute best and hope you continue to contribute your 35 years of experience and knowledge! We hope you are doing well! Stay safe! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
Went today and couldn't find many bluebonnets. I am guessing they are yet to bloom.
We used the BlueBonnet websites and trail maps to help us find the best locations. www.bluebonnettrail.org/trailmap Maybe start with this site and you can find some! Thank you for watching the video. We hope you enjoyed it and are able to find your own flowers soon!
@@WeLiveFreeRV Love your videos. Thank you!
Next time have someone turn the steering wheel to get the stabilizers in.. might be easier…. Did you leave the factory one on? Good video.. Thank You…
Thank you for the compliment and adding that tip for future installers! We didn’t remove any factory parts. Another 30k miles and it’s going great! Very respectfully, Jeff and Amanda
What brand and model of film was used? thank you
We went to a local tint shop in Texas and ,with the help of the experts in the shop, we selected a commercial grade tint and NOT nano ceramic even though nano ceramic is popular for cars and RVs. There were also many different options for the percentage of tint (uv protection) you can pick depending on your needs. As far as the specific brand, we are not quite sure what the dealer used, but they went through their products with us and recommended commercial grade.
Excellent. I'm gonna copy what you did, which is the best compliment of all.
We are so glad this was helpful to you. Let us know how this works out for you and if you would recommend any changes or differences!
Thank you for this extremely beautiful video. The music is excellent as well. We need more wonderful and generous people like ya'll in the world!
Just watched your video and I am interested in the taste of the water.
Hey @dpkealy. Simply put clean and tasty, and we’ve been at some places that the water wasn’t the best (sulfur smell, earthy smell etc)!
God the wiring on campers is atrocious
You just saved me $500 plus, cause i was just about to buy a system, Thank you.
Glad we could help! And we appreciate your support. Hope everything works out well for you.
Thank you. It would be nice to know how Jeff broke the system so we know what to avoid. Thank you
That’s awesome!
Good think i found this video. Just what im looking for and yes im located in weatherford tx
i would like to do this with my camper but i dont live in my camper so i was wondering if i put shot off valves on each side so you can close them would that work
Good evening! You absolutely can add shut-off valves. Depending on parts availability you may have to run the shut-off valves to the pex lines vice your filter setup! Good luck!
@@WeLiveFreeRV thanks for getting back to me
