don't worry, it's pretty simple, look up some videos on the making of it, chop up the sample, put some gaps between each individual chop and record into the ko. Don't repeat a chop, you'll conserve maximum space. Might have to clip some chops shorter, thats why this attempt sounds a bit gated. Best of luck 👍
I looked at all ur other shorts / videos and im glad u stopped posting a few years ago u literally spent thousands of dollars on equipment to literally just make weak covers of other ppl songs and had to audacity to put in ur bio “I make music” but have zero original music that u actually made on the channel shame on u esp 444 this very weak attempt at covering the goat of all goats James Yancey u fool
This is not a good cover sounds so choppy / disrespectful 222 to the life force of j dilla smh I don’t care if it’s only on a lil small pocket operator u could took a lot more time and perfected it better to where it didn’t sound all choppy like that also u didn’t even add the drums in there like at all all in all I give u a 1/10 for I guess getting the right chops onto that lil guy but that’s not even like a hard task anymore since there is legit video breakdowns on the sample chops he used 444 this beat but to call this sloppy mess a cover is damn near defamation to jay dee smh try harder next time lil bro
I know this cover is not perfect my man, but I did my best with the features of the pocket operator. Limited space made it tough to add more flavor and instrumentation, but I focused on keeping the timing and flow tight. My bad if it sounded that off to you, but I got mad respect for dilla and his beats, and just wanted to show some love. You can keep your rating, but you’re the one who’s disrespecting the legend by being ignorant and hateful. Peace ✌️
@@munda_music hell nah that’s wild that u take my honest critique of something u did as disrespect 444 dilla … like u and him are two completely different ppl and life forces if u wanna call my critique hate that’s fine I can take that but u are the one who is being ignorant by getting mad and saying I’m disrespecting a legend by giving u raw critique of something u did
All you need to do is map out your chops right, assign it to the banks and switch between them fluidly while performing. Helps if you test and prep it in a DAW beforehand, and record the chops into the KO. Best of luck 🙏
No u are right my friend there is absolutely nothing impressive about this other than the fact that ppl think it is so impressive like it’s super sloppy his timing is terrible and he even falls completely off beat like 3-4 times all in all it’s an offensive thing to call this a cover he didn’t even add the drums like dilla did he chops don’t meet up with each other and the biggest thing is dilla was very highly against biters so I’m 99% sure he wouldn’t appreciate ppl completing trying to remake or copy his beats
Thats so amazing 😎😎🔥🔥🔥
dude you gotta do a tutorial on this i beg of you

@@munda_music thanks bro i love your vids!!
Dilla was so talented, I wish he was more popular
It’s still just unbelievable that he did that without any visuals. Just all by ear. That’s crazy.
Dilla🔥🔥🔥
If J Dilla had this ko in the 80s before he discovered the MPC. He would have mastered this machine like no other.
This is real electronic music 🌸✨

Hearing this really makes me appreciate dillas timing
Esp since this messy attempt has such bad timing lmaoooo
Lol.....better than anything you've done. It's a Fn Pocket operator and he's doing a complex set of chops with bank changes. @@dariusdossman5450
How do i do this with my pocket operator!? This is incredible

that’s insane 😭 the most i could do was remake the exclusive and that was hard enough
