Miata clutch issues | Replacing the Clutch Pedal Clevis Pin Bushing
Переглядів 251Рік тому
After rebuilding my engine, I was fighting clutch pedal issues for months. In this video I replace my clutch pedal clevis pin bushing in an attempt to resolve an inconsistent clutch pedal feel. I followed these two forums to hatch the idea of replacing my clutch pedal clevis pin bushing: • forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=686508 • forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=656956 part number: 0727-...
Miata Rebuild Ep3: pain
Переглядів 276Рік тому
Many of the shots in this video were filmed weeks apart. I tried my best to tell a cohesive story about what it's been like getting my car running again after rebuilding my engine. Please feel free to ask technical questions in the comments and I will do my best to answer them. ~ CLUTCH NOT DISENGAGING TROUBLESHOOTING: ~ • FlyinMiata PDF: www.flyinmiata.com/support/instructions/drivetrain/08-19...

Miata Replace Handbrake Cable(s)

This can be done without removing your exhaust, transmission, driveshaft, PPF! I happened to have these out already, so I thought I figured I could make a very easy-to-follow video as a result.

Spray Painting Miata Sunburst Yellow!
Переглядів 8 тис.3 роки тому
Rustoleum's yellow spray paint happens to be called "Sunburst Yellow", just like what Mazda named their yellow. I started out with WHITE primer, then 3 coats of yellow, then a couple coats of clear. It's not perfect but I'm very happy.

No Man's Sky: Day 1 (My Initial Reaction!)
0:24 This tip only works for stock since the rocket comes out slightly from the right. If you’re doing this with the original don’t do this. I think.
Nice car!

If you are running a MS3 and an AEM wideband you should consider connecting the gauge through CAN using option ports G & I on the ECU. This way your wideband will be connected digitally and will never need to worry about voltage discrepancies or grounding issues that come along with analog signals.
@@Hamiibo meaning megasquirt would get more accurate data as a result?
@@RacecarsAndRicefish Correct. CAN signal is digital so whatever you see on the gauge is exactly what the ECU is seeing. Analog signal is fine for the stock narrow band sensor but widebands can read such larger range that the old analog system can be inaccurate which means your ECU may be seeing a different number than what your gauge is actually reading. This can cause your AFR's to be off especially with auto-tune. I tried to send a link with more info but it looks like youtube deleted that message.
not clear enough to be a tutorial and not entertaining enough to watch just for fun... oh well
Can you mega squirt my car next?
no way 😌👍
this is a fucking game changer. thank you so much
this is the best tutorial ive ever seen thanks man, i can c-tap now :D
How accurate is the rustolem sunburst yellow compared to the real GM Sunburst yellow
@@vexpho4512 idk dude I'm not like a paint scientist
@@RacecarsAndRicefish you dont have eyes? you cant see the difference? you never seen a SBY irl?
came for the Miata stayed for Overwatch
White basecoat is a must?
Mazda themselves put their sunburst yellow over white-- I think it's a good idea for making it really pop
@@RacecarsAndRicefish thanks, 👍
Cam angle sensor my guy
watch the next video ;)
thanks . Need to replace left rear cable on my 1999 mk2 and think it uses same cable. Not planning to replace the single cable this time as my right calliper works okay. Just a thought when replacing front cable. Maybe slip that collar off the long hex nut before re-assembly. Might be easier to get it started on the new cable end. The clip / collar *should* just slide one. easy for me to sat, I have never done the task! Thanks for sharing.
The crusties when you removed that are so real lol.
I love the colour looks like emoji
ur voice is cute :3
do not fill them. idiotic
this is just impossible
i can ctap but i cant make the jump
How to i get the original
if you can trade, try scrap.tf otherwise you just have to wait and get it as a random weapon drop
@@RacecarsAndRicefish well, thanks by the tip but as i am stupid i crafted it with the weapon that i probably never gonna get back
What is this?>:C
I got it first try after watching thank you!
Great video, normally I’m pretty good about remembering how things go back. I completely forgot on this one, didn’t help I took them off then attempted to put them back on 2 weeks later lol. Nonetheless best video I’ve seen on this. Thanks for making it!
I watched your ctap tutorial hella long ago, didn't know you were a miata guy too! Cheers from california
😁 it's a small world
looks good dude!
really appreciate it
thank you
very much
that is not the correct torque pattern for the valve cover cringe
This is easy! But thanks.
Thank you so much, I was getting help from others in the server but this really cleared up some of the things they were trying to say
Thanks bro great video! Greetings from Germany. Im trying to change the entire rear break system (also upgrading to bigger breaks) but the end of the cable was so rotten and the nuts wouldn't turn bc of so much rust. So Im trying to change the cables too now. Thank you for explaining!
Hi, do You know wich was the intake/exhaust side lifter? - they differ, in the inside piston - thanks!
nope I have no idea. In what way do they differ? if I take them back out can I figure it out?
the inner piston have a groove, and hole for oil, and the another don't have. In your video1:45 is a non-groove version, but 1:39 there are 2 grooved piston (arrow pointed). In another yt video i saw a guy, who handled the lifters separated, and did only one side first, where he placed the grooved version back to intake side. We have a fully rebuilt turbocharged NA8 engine, with Supertech hard springs = lifter tick, but don't know the reason. So i bought 2 heads, disassembled them, but not handled the lifters separatly. After ultrasonic cleaning inspections result: NA6 - all groovless inner piston, NA8 - 8 groovless, 8 grooved lifter :S
great video
buckets
Damn even the desks can be used for training that's so cool.
Did you have to take the exhaust and drivetrain off to do this?
You should be able to do this job without taking anything out, or maybe take exhaust out only since it's not that hard. I was in the middle of a different project and already had everything taken out and decided to do my handbrake
Filling is not needed. They will fill when oil pressure comes up after starting.
The algorithm takes time promoting videos, youtube just sent me your way
congrats!!!
crazy how 8 years ago you didnt even know what a spoiler was 😂 nice car btw pcakes : I love how at 30 seconds in he has stopped, like "I give up!" and then one of the police officers comes over and knocks the whatever off the back of his car

Tysm!
Bro. I know this was 4 years ago but thank you.
is it the same for mk2.5 ?
I couldn't tell you 🙁
Anyone else feel that casual TF2 is just miserable nowadays?
An important thing to know about ctapping is that you need to jump while you are in the "going up" part of the animation of the crouch. So jump after you release crouch and you start going up, then you jump shoot
2019 was 4 years ago, damn
weird how that works
lovely yellow color!
also never realised just how roomy miata engine bays are lol especially compared to something like the silly little engine bay on ladas haha anyways rad project! will defo sub to see if ya post some more kewl car stuff 🥳
@@fishywishyfishfisk Thanks! I should have a pretty big video coming out soon where I finally start and drive this car for the first time in a year. I am currently having mysterious issues bleeding the clutch lol
@@RacecarsAndRicefish ayy sweet! hope the clutch bleeding issue resolves soon haha, sounds annoying lol
thanks boss
This tutorial is great, I got the lava C-tap really easily after doing 10 minutes of practice going through each of the lower levels. Thank you so much!
Where did you buy the parts from. All I’m finding if the front cable that goes to the parking brake and only finding used cable that go to the calipers
I found these on RockAuto. Here's what they were listed as RAYBESTOS BC94671 Parking Brake Cable $ 26.79 RAYBESTOS BC94672 Parking Brake Cable $ 25.79 RAYBESTOS BC94683 Parking Brake Cable $ 20.79
www.rockauto.com/?carcode=1190887&parttype=1696 I think this link will show all 3 parts listed
total cost? Paint, plastic, primer, sand etc
I don't remember exactly, but I think it was probably a couple hundred dollars total edit: according to a comment response I made 1 year ago: "paint/primer/clear was around $100-$115 for all the rattle cans, and when you include sand paper and tarps and things, probably still under $200 9 primer, 7 yellow, 7 clear ... something like that and 250 and 500 grit"
i dont know why but the rockets is keep pushing me back like i look straight down give some space but still pushing me away the pillar
feel free to hold "w" when jumping straight up like this
