Great video. I really enjoyed the scenery, even the more mundane aspects like the rusty buildings and normal homes. Everything is just so different there. As a woodworker, I really enjoyed seeing that temple. I would love to see one up close one day so I can carefully examine the "sashimono" joinery techniques. Thanks for all your hard work sir.

SO MANY THINGS! Mourning? I don't know what you're mourning but I'm sorry for your loss and you have my deepest condolences. Subtitles! I can't tell you how much better this makes your content for me...thank you thank you thank you!!! I can now watch in real time not having to stop and try to capture and translate all the on-screen Japanese subtitles. Boiling water in a boat?! All I could think of was the boat tipping just enough to spill that hot water on your legs and you having nowhere to escape it. If I tried that, I'd be in the hospital with 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over my legs and feet and my balls...lol. Thanks again for all your hard work and for sharing your adventures with me. I really feel like I may never get to even visit Japan, let alone stay long enough to do all I want to do before I'm too old to enjoy it and content like yours allows me a window at least.
@@rolandgdean Thanks again for your feedback this year! In Japan, it's customary to refrain from New Year's greetings the year after the death of a relative, so my first greeting has been a little more difficult. I thought the same thing about the burns! I got nervous just thinking about spilling hot water in the kayak. At least I'm glad I won't need a doctor in the new year!

It's been below freezing here way earlier than usual. It's almost like we got no Autumn season...just straight to winter. I've been at work selling cars and just standing outside talking to the few people who come by is painful for me. I just wish I had the ability to withstand cold like you can...I would be in misery out there like that. Thanks so much for your commitment to your content and following through with all the hard work it takes to publish it. I like the way the snow looks when driving through it at night. It makes me feel like I'm flying though space...lol.
@@rolandgdean It was a similar seasonal change here. Just when I thought summer was long enough to turn into fall, winter has arrived! I'm braving the cold because I have a goal this year, but it's about time, because my cold hands hurt. I love running in the snow, it's fantastic, but it's been a little too much! The visibility was blocked and it made for a very dangerous drive!

@@rolandgdean I live in an area where the sun rises after 6:30 a.m., so I don't have much time to fish before work! And it's dark in the evening by 5:00 p.m., so it's already dark when I get off work.

Since Japan is going to have a cold winter, I thought I would share it with you as a reference for catching bass on topwater in the winter. I have a lot of friends who want to fish topwater in the winter, so we are all trying to figure out how we can catch more fish!

@@mn-uu5dx 今使っているのはライオットカヤックのクエスト10です。非常に軽いので担いで歩くのが楽で助かっています。 この動画のカヤックはもう手放したタイダルストリームのネプチューンです。
