Love love love the Math and Reading butcher paper and I love the magnetic border. The pastel decor that came out this season is something I am loving!! Since you put up math and reading bulletin boards I am guessing this year you will be self contained??

Absolutely we teachers all need to see our spaces! No laughter here...just lots of nods and an Amen! I enjoyed watching Elementary adventures too. As far as your time to be kind start out with the original and after putting up you other signs decide if you need to change it. Have a good year. I'm going to enjoy following your progress!

Can you just add some colored dots on the first letters I.e. the T of time so it ties it together?

I started my teaching career in an open concept classroom space in a building built in the 1970s. I didn't think those building were still a thing, and partitions/walls were put in to cut the noise! But anyway, the other three 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms were visible, and of course the noise was an issue. If you have any kiddos on the spectrum, or who have ADD or ADHD just figure out some way to give them somewhere in the room where it's not so distracting and overwhelming when they get overstimulated from everything going on around them.

How did you make all the resources you showed? Do you have a TPT store to purchase them? If you could do a video on how to create them I'd love it because I want to do something similar with my color scheme. Thank you. Alicia from CT

Interesting...our principals actually work all summer...the get a couple of weeks off in June but then they are working and going to meetings the rest of the summer.

My school is similar. Suggestion for future blogs: film what you want to show in your classroom and narrate over it at home and add the audio. Its not as ideal, but it gets the job done! ❤❤❤

Congratulations!! I love that you prayed about the placement! Sixth graders need your special way of communicating! You remind me so much of my dear friend who teaches fifth grade. Her students learn about life, themselves, the real world and of course academics. I teach Kindergarten and that is where I do best. Teaching sixth grade is a gift. Blessings on your new adventure!
