As an update, I passed through Edinburgh airport in August this year. They now have the new scanners where laptops, tablets and electronic devices no longer need to be removed from your bags. Only liquids still have to be removed and put in a bag. Also not recommended to put your passport seperately in the tray, best putting it in your bag where it can't be seen.

I'd thought about applying but your shift rota system looks like an absolute shambles. This was confirmed by someone I knew who worked there.

Short Stay car park does not exist on any sign or map despite the price list on the internet!! Cars cannot be left unattended in the drop off/pick up zones! So where to park to collect an elderly person who needs help with luggage!!!??

Not good immigration service. Irritating unprofessional bunch . Only good for illegals, refugees and asylum seekers. Full of clowns. Baggage handler idiots completely destroy passanger's baggage.

I’m in there 5 times a day. 10 mins is not enough time to drop off the passengers, process their payment and wait in the queue to exit. Plus the contactless machines fail 80% of the time. The place is a total disgrace. They obviously don’t care about the public. It’s a very bad experience all round.

Can anyone confirm where is the correct entrance for FastPark?

Just came back from Split,Croatia.Couldnt get off the plane cause you were short of staff to operate the ladders,spent forever at baggage reclaim as well.People all waiting for luggage from other flights.No staff or management to be seen.Yes you need staff all right.Im concerned the airport isnt running safely if you are so short of workers....

I was picking a friend up at Edinburgh Airport recently and to put it politely, the singage is awful. Twice I ended up in the drop off zone and had to pay to get out both times because a member of staff told me if I picked up in the drop off zone I would be fined. On asking where the designated pick up area was, he gave me very poor instruction on how to find it, first time I was told "just over there". The second time I entered the drop off zone by mistake, I was told leave the airport grounds and when you return, take the 2nd exit at the 2nd round about. Nothing at all about the first round about. 🙄 He also told me that people accendently go into the drop off zone all the time when picking up and they get fined for picking up whilst there as there are cameras watching your every move. I have no doubt Edinburgh airport are well aware of the confusion but are happy to continue to collect fines rather than put up better signage.

The critical comments on the map are totally correct - it is impossible to relate the car parks from that inadequate map and a video is no substitute for a map one can study. The lack of response and provision of a map speak of airport management which does not recognise the legitimate needs of users of the airport - a legible map could be added to the website in less than a day. The frustration evident in the comment by DN is understandable and deserves a serious effort by management to recognise and respond to.

The worst kind of greedy crooks, that's what you are !! £12 charge for approx. 35 min parking and it's easier to do a PhD in astro physics than work out the parking layout.. Of course, signage confusion is all deliberate so you crooks can extract aa much money as possible from fucking parking !!! Crooks !!!

A video is not a map. Especially when it is unreadable. Completely useless.

Nice to see the general safety is good. However, not impressed that free drop off has been closed then you have a cheek to charge £2.00 for upto 5 minutes in the drop off area near the entrance and collection charges are extortionate.

Well done Gordon and well done to All your Staff at EDI , you certainly have thought about everything and your preparation is going to benefit passengers and staff in keeping everyone safe . We all need to observe the effort that has been put in place, but more importantly everybody passing through the airport need to be adhering to these measures. Hi, I went there 10 days ago an all the car parks were closed except the Terminal Parking. It was full with lots of people desperate to park their cars. How is the situation at the moment ? Is the Terminal Parking the only one open ? Based on the previous experience I am not 100% confident that I will get a space even with an online booking. Can you please clarify.
