It should. If I am understanding what you are doing, you have AES50 channel 1 coming in as the kick. AES50 is bi-directional, so if you asking the aes50 output to 1, it won't change what's coming in. Think of it as each aes50 cable has the potential for 48in channels and 48out channels that can be assigned.

Sorry for the slow reply. 1 - it's been a minute since I weighed it but I remember it coming in right around 70lbs. 2 - I haven't had it overheat, however I haven't used it in very hot temperatures. It is offset from the walls of the case and there is a gap for the front vent to allow airflow. Honestly, I rarely use this console anymore. It is finicky, and I have occasionally had trouble with the engine dropping connection to stage boxes and the S3, (this happened long before I built the case). I think it might be an issue with the E3's network card, but I don't have an AVB switch to try bypassing it.

Try turning your squelch down to low or off. If it still doesnt work, that means that there are no channels available, so you basically have to pick a channel and hope to overpower it.

@@iamjohnnytrox I did that... I turned it off squelch... audio comes out, but full of noise, ineligible, it is syncing, but it gives (NO) OPEN CHAN, and clean no audio comes out

If you have a spectrum analyzer you can check to see if there is any available dips, but it sounds like too many other people are running wireless in that area taking up the frequency range. There is only so much available and when used up, it's used up unfortunately. I seem to remember Brazil being terrible for RF when I was down there. Is there any other wireless that is running that works that you can turn off for a bit?

It worked great for the 2 and a half years I had it. (Took it out and packed it up for over 100 shows) I wound up selling it at the beginning of the pandemic. Some friends tried using pick in pluck foam, but that shredded and was awful. This foam is pretty robust, and will last a long time if you don't abuse it. I actually had a Midas Pro1 that I did the same thing with (using the foam it came with to put in a case) and that lasted fine for 5 years or so until I sold it.

Yes, I do this with just about every band i work for. Now with the new firmware, you are actually able to change every single output individually if you wish and not just banks of 8. I have personally never used the DP48's, and I just use an iPad with IEMs,

It seems complicated, but if you just slowly think through it all, every part of it makes sense. You are sending 8 channels from FOH, then you are sending those 8 through the MON m32, and to the dl32.

Perfect, I briefly had our churches X-32 connected as a stunt FOH console in this configuration, but I’d already loaded out most of my gear and had no way to actually verify the signal on outs 9-16, so I’m putting my trust in you! I couldn’t see signal on the meters tab in/out meters, but didn’t know if I would at the iem console window since it’s routing the other boards outs not the M32C outs for those... thanks again, here’s to you! Now if it will just work for me, I’ll be a happy guy!

Yeah, Midas and Behringer don’t seem super forthcoming with aes50 routing options, the user groups have a little, but it seems with all new gear it’s kind of left up for trial and error... seems kind of cryptic when it doesn’t need to be. Most configurations have pros AND cons, but if we know that in advance it would save hours of frustration and wasted time for sure!

And the fact that the routing sections on the iPad app vs the laptop app also muddy the water too, they need to look the same with the same labeling, sometimes it’s mind-twisting when it’s not clear whether you’re looking at assigning AES50 outs or ins and then the user outs that can be assigned as ins... blah, blah blah... gotta be a more clear label nomenclature... they’ve got a lot of smart folks over there, seems like it should be a no brainer... anyway, thanks, and I’ll let you know if I get mine working right, and how I add the dp48’s!

I think any Mac 2011 and after should have AVB capabilities. Try checking in the network settings and seeing if it sees that it's connected to something. It lights up yellow for me and tells me no internet (obviously). Also check your audio-midi settings on the computer. When you plug in, the avb should come up as an in/output device. You might have to activate it or something here. If nothing shows up, it is also worth trying one of the other AVB ports on the back, as I have had some issues with mine in the past. C seems to be the only one that works on mine for multitrack, but maybe that's just mine.

I do the Monitor rack as the master, that way the monitors are always working and thr band can practice while I do other things, and the FOH syncs when connected.

Yes i believe you can. On channel 11, you would change your input from channel 11 to pro tools 1. I have been meaning to do a video on this, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I can get the monitor mixer to control monitor sends... having issues with FOH mixer controlling output for L, R, Subs and Mono Center.
