I met him at a convention in early 90’s when artist back then had time to chat and did signatures for free & free sketches. They were often so bored, they offered to do them with out asking 😂

Yeah. CB🇬🇧#8 is worth a lot more and way harder to find but her first app as Psylocke is NM Annual#2. X-men related first app are getting stupid. I mean look at CGC UX#166 completed sales 🙄. Yeah a lot of those $1 books ain’t nothing. Oh and thanks for watching. I appreciate the comments! 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽

thegreyman thanks man. I go to a huge comic store near me about 3hrs away. They have 6 stores. Two of these 6 have easily over a million books each. I’ve been all over and only 2 stores in country I know of have a single location with close to their inventory, Mile High’s MEGA warehouse in Denver & the Midtown in Midtown NY. Their two stores has easily a million $1 books each and about 5-6 x a year has 25c and 50c sales on their $1 books, like on FCBD! Black Friday, LCS day and on each of the 6 stores opening anniversary. I usually come away with at least a short box if not a long box on 25c sales. These days it’s hard to find comics at 25c sales anymore. Midtown has one of their blown out 75% off back issue sale thru 02/04/2020.

@@nokautu7914 Wow that is amazing we get nothing like that in the UK. mind you I would not fancy a 6 hour round trip for some comics!! That is pretty hardcore, do you spend in petrol what you save on comics? I was at a 20p sale recently 5 for £1 but the shop was tiny, it was elbow to elbow and butt to butt almost!! I got some goodies but the variety/choice was limited and the lucky 1st in lines got all the best stuff of course!

@@thegreyman Their "warehouse" store is about 2 hours. It's where they "sort" books of collections the store buys, which basically means the staff pick out "keys" that are known at that time. Then the remainder of the collection gets sent unsorted to the remaining 5 stores. What they keep, they sort into their basement that is only open twice a year, about 500,000 books for $1/each. What doesn't fit into the basement or gets sent to the other stores stays upstairs in the $1 room. They do not keep any "back issue" stock at this store. It's all either wall books or $1 books. It's packed. Hunters come from hours away. I do try to make there "basement sale" because no one is allowed to pick thru basement except on those 2 days. The other times, I do some contract work near their second mega store about once every two months. So I take advantage of the business trip to buy books when I'm there. Todd (the owner)told me when he buys collections, he will buy key books separately and then buy the remaining collection by the pound. The one that I go to when I do contract work has a sign that says "36,000 lbs of comics! $1/each" (Maybe I'll post a quick video showing the store. It's absolutely crazy and it's the 2nd biggest store of the 6. ) He doesn't usually buy collects say 20c/book like "collection troll buyers" will sometime do. I mean even the dudes that do that make 80c/book when they sale per $1 which ain't a bad ROI and I know a lot of dudes that do that during the summer out of their garage. Petrol is cheaper here in the USA I think then elsewhere. 1 Gallon of Petrol = 3.785 Liters = $2.40. I think everywhere else in the world sells "gas" Petrol by the liter so you are paying probably close to 5 pounds for the equivalent and the pound is worth more than US Dollar so $6/Gallon comparison if my math is right? So probably all in all it costs me about $35 in petrol and toll fees roundtrip to the warehouse store. For me it's more about the "rush" of finding a stealth buy for 25c - $1. The best Stealth buy I've made a $1 that sells briskly on eBay for $350 - $400. I showed it in one of my hauls! I'm not sure if I'd go that often if I was paying for Petrol like UK does. I didn’t mean to imply Fish Police was a knock off of TMNT, just that after TMNT success, multiple “talking animals” themed comics came out of the wood works....but thank you for watching and leaving the comments 🙏 I’m going try ample next opportunity that arises with my wife and see how that goes 🤪LOL

Robert Austen, I use Ernest Gerber Mylites 2mil + FullBacks. EG products are used at the Library Of Congress and he is a collector too. Buy direct from them in Bulk and there is substantial savings over all other brands and shops (even when considering postage costs). Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

David_SMNC2, thanks for taking your time to watch my haul and leaving a comment. Yeah for the grade $20 seemed like a good price, about the going price on Ebay for raw books and lower print run than TFOFTNM #23 which can go for $15/20 and IMHO no where near as key of a 1st App.
