How to start a Kayo Dirtbike!
Переглядів 16 тис.Рік тому
In this video I show the basics of how to start Kayo Dirtbikes. We handle the KMB 60, TS90, TD125, TT125 and TT140 bikes. The basics will be the same on all of them with a few minor differences between a few models. Main differences are choke location and fuel valves. KMB 60 does not have kick start back up as well. Thanks for watching, hope this helps!
How to adjust the chain on most Kayo ATV models and other makes/models

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE WEIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS AND KEEP YOUR CHAINS ADJUSTED AND LUBED. The chains will stretch quite a bit when they’re new. We typically over tighten them when we assemble them in hopes of the customer not having to do it until after the first service.
How to adjust the speed governing screw on Kayo ATV’s and many more!

Yes I know after watching this I didn’t really get the screw to turn, but I didn’t have time to remake the video. 😂 I think you guys will understand the concept, just be careful with the factory screws. There’s a tiny E clip on the inside of the housing but it’s so small it doesn’t hurt to leave it in. We recommend changing it to the normal style screw for convenience and so it doesn’t vibrate ...

!!PLEASE READ AS I FORGOT TO MENTION A FEW THINGS!! We recommend running non-ethanol (aka recreational) fuel in these machines. If it’s not available we recommend an additive such as sea-foam with 91-93 octane pump gas. Non-ethanol fuel is a lot cleaner but doesn’t make the carburetors immune to gumming up. It just takes a lot longer than normal fuels. SO PLEASE RUN GOOD FUEL AND DRAIN YOUR FUE...

!!PLEASE READ AS I FORGOT TO MENTION A FEW THINGS!! In this video I go over what to do if you have accidentally and/or purposely ran the tank or carburetor empty and can’t get the unit to start easily. These are cold blooded machines and can be hard to start even if you haven’t drained the fuel. If you’re struggling, spray the air box with some carburetor cleaner or starting fluid to help get i...

Mine runs great but turns off when it idles any ideas o. Why it does that
@@johncarlos3120 adjust the idle on the carb or if it has a lot of hours it may need the valves adjusted
@@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC ok I’ll try that but it’s literally brand new
Mine runs great but turns off when it idles
Mine does not crank nor start can u help ??
worse setup ever, brackets bending axel always slipping
I’m not sure what you’re referring to?
If brackets are bending then you don’t have axle bolts loose to adjust the chain and probably why you’re saying axle slipping or chain coming off ?? Setup has been used on many brands for decades
Use the correct screw driver would make more sense...
They don’t have a screw head on factory ones
I need help with this unit
We are open Monday-Friday 9-6, Saturday 10-3. 419-443-8194. Thank you !
I accidentally broke of my throttle by.driving into a garden, lol
Then it will run wide open.
What if u dont have the replacment thing and you just take that out
It runs wide open
Not on this model it has vacuum pump. And if you just add a valve there will still be fuel in the bowl and that is the problem it needs to be all empty
can you not just add a inline valve to cut off the fuel ?
Should I oil the black one or the yellow one?
Just the yellow one will be fine
Question my atv is from 2007 and it doesnt want to turn on We changed the spark plug cable didnt work we changed the battery did not work and the gas we think got wet but we put new gas on top of the old
Not sure depending how old the gas is I would start with that and if it’s been sitting, it could be a carburetor as well
@@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC should i clean the carburator
Clean or replace
I ordered a new one
I have the kayo 70 for my son I'm not familiar with Quads it's his first he's 10. I moved it to another part of my yard and noticed there a black rubber pipe just dangling at the bottom it really doesn't look right. How can I get pictures or videos to show these sorts of things and any idea what that black thing pipe is please TIA
It’s normal just let go and don’t plug off
How to fix when it won’t start with electrical
Call your local dealership
They will. We give our customers a screw with a jam nut. just take it out go to a hardware store and match it up and put a little jam nut on it.
what if i take it all off
I have a 2021 doesn't have does bolts to adjust the tension have you worked on one that's doesn't have them adjusters
21 what model?
Yes bike I have doesn't have bolts underneath to adjust
A dirtbike
@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC sorry it's a quad jackal 200 . With no chain bolt adjustment I can send pic if I can add it here
@@enrique19791215 it’s on a cam just loosen it up and you’ll go on the drives sprocket behind it and adjust it
I tried that like five times and it didn’t work
Im 34 yrs old and 185lbs. Got a bull 150 for my 100lb wife to ride, but hell i love this thing formyself lol
For me thats not the kill switch but the blinkers🙃
A lot of other makes and models do use a switch just like it for blinkers, yes. Are you having an issue?
“Hey these are bolts and they do stuff, good luck” 🤡
Can you Kickstart a kayo k6 efi
so if you wanted you could just use the toe shifter?
For starting?
Super helpful. The killswitch needed to be pushed in.
do you have to have the key in to kick start it ?
If it has a key yes
Mine turns itself down on it’s own while riding from the vibrations, there is zero tension on the screw so it’s quite irritating and gets my son frustrated as every couple laps around the yard the throttle will pretty much completely close. Trying to find a replacement screw option with a lock nut to hold it
Just bring it to hardware store and match up to get a lock nut, worse come to worst try lock tight.
Can u make a video how to hook up the battery charger please
I’m sorry don’t use the battery tenders. Easiest way is to put a heater on or close to the right side engine side case. Don’t want to melt any plastic so need to pay attention to how close it would be needed. By putting a small heater or salamander on the right engine side case it will warm up the engine oil and turn the motor over easier to start. The batteries that they put in all of these units are very small with very little cold cranking amps.
@@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC I understand to a point but I bought them brand new and let them sit in my garage for 2 winters. Now they just seem dead
@@islord999 so you have let them sit for two years without running them? Sorry 2 winters only? If you’re letting them sit that long or not letting them ride through the winter then you need to winterize the four wheeler as far as draining fuel out of the carburetor and I would out of the gas tank or run non-ethanol fuel, but I still would drain the carburetor. At that point battery tenders would be needed. It’s very simple but positive on positive and negative or negative. I’m sure it has directions on packaging as well.
@@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC thank you! You’re the man
@@islord999 Thank you!!
is there any size difference between the tt125 and the 140
No
How do we change the cdi box and how many pins is it?
@@chrisstokes9627 Find it unplug it and check to see how many pins I’m not sure off hand
whats the difference between the TD125 and the TT125... I have been looking at the TT125
Size and shifting the td is a bit smaller and semi and the tt have bigger wheels and is manual with a clutch
Make sure to pull either brake handle as well to start it! Don’t leave out that step either for people who don’t know
My first time riding a a quad east today and it was a fox7
we just bought a new Kayo Fox 70, it starts and runs fine, but every couple of minutes of riding it just seems to stall out, and wont start. if i let it sit for about 30 seconds it starts fine and runs great. the are it is being ridden is bumpy its like the carburetor isn't getting gas. do i have bad Vacuum fuel pump that doesn't like bumps???
I’m not sure I think I would look over the unit see if anything may be loose or pinched fuel lines.
I've got a 2020 kayo 70cc. I get nothing when I try to start it, battery is good, lights work but ennngine makes no noise. Looking for help before taking it to a shop. Thanks.
Brake levers applied?
@Wise Choice Powersports LLC yes while I go to start the atv. I attempted to start it last season but it was low on gas so the engine never turned over fully and I kind of forgot about it. So I'm wondering if it's the starter maybe but not sure.
@@bradykline506 if the brake light comes on and you’re saying the battery is good. I would take a 12 V test light ground it and pull the starter wire back where it connects to the engine and see when you push the starter button if the starter has power to it.
@Wise Choice Powersports LLC so I figured a way to start the atv with screwdriver to the selinoid.. so that's good. That's the only way it will start through. Any ideas?
Replace solinoid
Hi. Our bull 125 has intermittent crank the relay clicks as it should but the starter doesn’t always engage. Any tips?
Check starter button or switch
@@WiseChoicePowersportsLLC the relay clicks constantly as we hit the starter button/switch so I think the starter switch it ok. It just wont crank over. During the frozen months, we did have a quite a issue with the relay freezing up because the tires, splash water directly on it but as soon as we would thaw it out with the heat gun it will turn over immediately temperatures are way above freezing now, so that’s not the issue, but it won’t crank over. It just clicks I’ve tapped on the relay and tapped on the starter as we’re hitting the start button.
A chain adjustment video with no info on actual tension. Not too tight, not too loose. Helpful.
Na fr homie didn’t even touch the bolts 😂😂😂
You replace the factory carbs on any yet? Looking for some info. Thanks
Yes but, mainly because units setting and not draining fuel out of carb or running cheap fuel or not running non ethanol
Hello! This did not work for me and I was wondering how I could fix it I had this ATV for 3 years now and it was working perfectly but if u have Snapchat or Instagram I could message you and show you what’s the problem thank you.
Can message on Facebook Wise Choice Powersports
@Wise Choice Powersports LLC thank you I will message you tomorrow because it’s dark outside
Can I just remove the fuel pump and install a shutoff switch?
Yes but have to block off intake nipple
Awesome thank you. This was so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
This is so helpful
@@Fweddy2fye Thank you!
Great video, Sure whish you would make one on break in of the kayto 125 not the whole ten hours just from initial start and some run time like how fast, cool down times in between rides, before first oil change and service it would be very helpful, thanks
Videos on that kind of stuff is different for every dealership. Read manual and I believe I already spoke with u. Thank you
We will also be coming out with more videos as well. We just started this right before Christmas.
Thank you! Check out the 125 video I posted not too long ago if you could please! It’ll be the same concept other than the fuel valve. I was in a pinch and had to do the videos myself yesterday so I couldn’t show how to pump the gas and such. I’m out of town from today until after New Years myself so I threw everything together last minute the best I could before Christmas
Good job man I have a suggestion 😀 do that start up again we all missed it
I accidentally commented separately, check out the comment I pinned! Thank you!
