Not a blues guy but this demo was amazing not only in your demonstrations of what the amp sounds like but your overall chops. Not sure if this is demo or original but great work nonetheless.

I own about 16 different amps large and small, tube and solid state... Everytime i tell someone that the MG100 HDFX isnt as bad as you might think, i get laughed at... Its a fun solid state that definitely has the Marshall vibe to its voicing... Is it a JCM800? Of course not... But its not shite at all.

One of my favorite things to do with solid state amps as of recently is stick a 6 or 10 band graphic EQ in the FX Loop to help simulate the effect that the power amp has on shaping the tone of a tube amplifier. I’ve watched videos here of people plugging the FX send of one amplifier into the FX Return of another amplifier, and it really does wind up changing the sound of an amp in a unique way. I’ve noticed you can get a similar effect with a solid state amplifier by simply using some kind of graphic EQ in the loop to adjust the low and high end frequencies that an amplifier may be lacking. It really is a game changer from the perspective of making a solid state amp capable of competing with most tube heads. I use one with my Randall RG3003H and with the volume of a 150 watt tube amplifier head and a graphic EQ in the loop it’s more than enough to compete with the modern workhorse tube amps of today.
