Good video
No gasket for the fuel pump?
I feel attacked. Its only been a year and a half since my stock axle has been out and I'm almost done with the 8.8 😅
Thanks Danny McBride
Nice video dude 👍
What did you do with the evap lines that originally connected to the two white vents on the stock tank?
Would like to see more pictures of your install about to be doing thisnin about a montg and trying to sort out my rear shocks.
did you use the shackles provided? what length are they?
Is there any reason this can't be installed behind the front seat instead of all the way in the back by the tailgate?
Technically you can, but you really need to route lines perfectly and consider building a firewall between the seats and the tank. It's just more dangerous to do it that way, but it possible.
What is the purpose of doing this?
Absolutely 💯
The axle are from a dodge ram ?
nice work. would it be possible to do that rear stretch with a RC 4" lift yj springs? im looking at doing that same stretch but i was hoping to use my RC 4" lifted springs.
I can’t find your website
Where you able to use your driveshaft or did you have to get a longer one?
Can you make 30in shock towers? I have 18in travel air shocks I need to mount
I’m running spring over stock yj leaf’s with tons, do I need stock xj rear leafs for my yj or do I need xj lift springs
I just came across your write up online so glad you have videos too
Question on your build, awesome by the way. I have a 92 YJ. I want to keep it spring under. I have the kit but was wondering if you recommend any specific length on the leaf spring.
I'm planning on going coils in the front via subframing a tj front section onto my '89. I want to use xj leaves in the rear spring under in the original direction, no stretch. I have OME 036 springs now with just about 3" of lift and 33-10.50 ko2s. Any idea what size xj lift springs I should use to keep it the same height?
Would this have any issues running 3.5 XJ leafs ?
thank you huge help
Looks like it's all coming along. Nice work man.
amazing!!!! HEY GUYS if anyone is interested I have a new born on the way and have to sell my 1990 YJ ls 6.0 build on 1tons motor in runs starts and runs .. sitting on king coils 3.0 shocks with newer 54 Mickey Thompsons ... I can message you pictures if intrestead. 👍 $12000 for everything
I’m about to swap a set of Dana 60’s out of a 2001 super duty into my YJ, any overall tips or tricks that can help?
Hey, what brand of front tube fenders are you using? I'm going to redo my front suspension putting in 14" coilovers and want to add tube fenders. I like the way yours look. Good looking build and I feel yah on the ton of work!
Wolf caves is just good
A lot of great information hope a lot of people can adhere to the safety aspects, all the best to you and your loved ones
Let’s go las angles people
Instead of leaving the heim joint in the insert, could you use a (potentially sacrificial) bolt instead? Protect threads and catch bbs
Yes for sure. I’m not in expert by any means. Just trying my best to put together a build I’m proud of.
America 🇺🇸 💪🏼🔧🔩🤙🏼
Donut operator??? Jk awesome video tho. I’m learning a lot of this myself as we speak lol
Hey there! Thanks for this guide, this convinced me to pull the trigger on this cell. Where instructions and advice was lacking, you came through I do have one question, the only piece I’ve not yet installed is the “pump adapter for deeper tanks”- the rectangular piece with the two circle cuts and the rectangular cut in the middle. I, of course, installed the pump and then saw the piece left out. I skipped through the video a couple of times and didn’t catch it being mentioned, did you install this piece? If it isn’t vital I’ll likely just proceed on the install, thanks in advance!
Awesome glad I could help :) trying to put more videos together like this. Like everyone else I have to save my pennys to get these parts :)
Sweet video! 8.8 axle is the way to go, tj dana 44s are overpriced for what they are.
Great job. I will check out your website!
Looks like a great build
Just asking, what made you go with a fuel cell vs like just replace stock or going better gas tank? I know you said it add a lot of clearance and departure angle. And what made you go with motobilt vs like going Genright or someone else?
My axle sits exactly under stock fuel cel location with my rear stretch
Good vid 🇺🇸👨🏻🔧
Isn't that rear leaf going to hit the crossmember with 1" of squat?
Awesome man!
Looks great and a U-turn is only 180 degrees. 🤔
Nice build 👍
Welding with the heim in is incorrect. This is the fastest way to ruin the threads.

Thank you 😄 excited about 100!
100th subscriber lol
Thankyou thankyou 😁😁
Thanks for making this video. I am looking at purchasing this kit and this was very helpful
Thank you for the information. I am a retired Amarican Airlines Aircraft mechanic . Living 50% of the time in Tennessee aka Heaven. I have a 1991 YJ. I installed a 4.3 Chevy V6. 58 Chevy bell housing. 52 Chevy SM 420 4 speed tranny out of my Truck project. And a Ford 8.8 rear axle.3.5 BDS lift. But still have the D30 front axle with
Dou you need to use 4 inch lift xj springs if your yj has a 4 inch lift on it already?
Are you spring under or spring over right now?
@@breakingbolts7621 I was wondering about springs as well. I am spring over with stock yj springs. Assuming I just get the stock xj springs and run them over axel to match ride height?
No it won’t match. You will come down a bit. Stock XJ ended up lowering rear too much. So I moved the frame side mounts back and used Jeep Wagoneer front springs from a 74. This also gave me another 3” of stretch. I’m about 9” rear stretch in the rear now
if i want to do a mild build and still daily drive my yj, is this a good option?
Awesome vid man. Recently got a stock 4.0 yj on 33s and thinking about 8.8s and this kit for some more crawly stuff
Ford 8.8 is darn near a direct drop in for YJ. A great first upgrade for your Jeep.
