Instead of just helping the Homeless out for a night or a week why not look at the problem and that will help get us to the solution . The Problem : Cost of Living is out pacing wages by as much as 50% in some areas of the country . There are many reasons for this but the biggest reason would point at Corporate Owned Housing and Corporate Property Management services . The second is low wages . What is Inflation ? Inflation is what happens when The Currency ( The US Dollar ) loses value . How do The Feds Calculate Inflation? By the wholesale price of Commodities in The Stock Market . Inflation causes Cost of Living to rise. Historically Inflation goes up slowly and Cost of Living also rises slowly and Wages rise to balance out the Economy . However in the last 3 years Inflation has risen sharply and quickly , Cost of Living has risen even more aggressively than ever before but Wages have not started to rise (except in a few isolated places ) . Until Wages start to catch up to Cost of Living the Economy cannot balance out . How do we fix this ? I don't know all the answers but a good place to start would be to start putting pressure on local Government to start getting aggressive about Wages , and not just the Minimum wages but all across the board . I know , some people are going to say " that will only drive prices up more ." That is not necessarily true , most large corporations have already figured future labor costs into there business plan , that is why they quote higher labor prices as part of the reason for raising their prices , however if you ask the Employees they have not gotten any raises that would come close to Cost of Living increases .

I retired 10 years ago after 40 years in the business. I did live TD work for about 25 years of it. When I started it was 3 M/E banks with a single keyer each and no memories, it was flying fingers! We had just started using GVG Kalpysos when I retired. When I see videos like this, i see how much it has changed in the last ten years! One thing about live news was when it was over, it was OVER and on its way to Alpha Centauri, and we come back to live another newscast the next day.

Happy and proud to see indigenous youth retribalize and reindigenize in the same places where their ancestors were once stripped of their culture, language and identity. Unfortunately, I feel the number of children lost at boarding schools is way over 500. Here at Haskell Indian Nations University, a formal boarding school, the cemetery has 103 graves, 2 of which are those of children as young as 6 months old. Prayers and blessings to those stepping up to teach the youth to have pride and resilience in their tribal identity and culture. Giving thanks and remembrance to all of our ancestors who sacrificed so that we can be here today.
