Beautiful apartment, the 1 bathroom might be why it's still for sale...???? I've never lived in a home with less than 2 bathrooms - and there has been some pretty cheap (90K AUD) and nasty ones....

Arroyo de la Miel which is part of Benalmadena is without doubt the best place to live. it is the most easy of places to live.

Barely any mention if any of the grandiose Benalmadena marina?... not to be missed! In last May, I absolutely enjoyed staying at Benalmadena. Very easy to visit Malaga by bus (parking is a mess).

Explain to me and smart ´executive digital nomads´, why tax heavy Spain is the 2nd most ideal place to live compared to for example top tier Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, certain parts of Phillipines and Indonesia, Thailand, having way better amenities across the board, also more international oriented and better all year round weather, apart from virtually a non-existent tax code for digital nomads and taxes in general without being resident are just much lower, especially if you dont use those stick-your-head-out-of-the-crops digital nomad ´tax´ visas.

I went through two unfortunate buying experiences in the Costa Del sol, one in Marbella and the other in Higueron. the first was a lovely development very well kept up, although several years old that had buildings going down a hill until it reached a flat that turned into the beach and the sea. The unit I was going to buy was at the bottom of the hill on the first floor, I had an inspection done, and the inspector told me there was evidence of water damage in the apartment, and that there had been a bad storm which caused flooding earlier that spring which the owner and everyone steadfastly refused to believe. It was an inspector that they had referred me to who told me this. I asked to see the minutes of the homeowners association meetings, and they refused. well without those we weren’t gonna go forward. I had put down a deposit, and the only gave half of it back. As far as I was concerned all parties involved in the deal, Ing, the lawyer and agent on my side, and the lawyer and agent on their side, seem to me to be, working together to rip me off and this is what I’ve heard about Marbella, it has a terrible reputation in that way. Don’t believe the glamour. The second property was further up the road in Higueron development and BenalMedina. The development is beautiful with many different options of buildings that future different architecture were closer to the beach or further away, etc. they all looked really top, and the development itself has just an incredible amount of amenities for everyone. I found a really nice unit reasonably priced up the hill, but it had a nice view from the patio, they told me that somebody had only lived there for a few months and we went forward with the escrow. However, just like the first one, I had difficulty getting information from them during the due diligence. And this one again came down to the homeowners where they told me there hadn’t been a meeting for a year, but there was a meeting coming up. I happen to swing by just to walk around the grounds and I saw a notice posted on the main door about the upcoming homeowners meeting and one of the main and first agenda items had to do with the action they were taking against the builder and developer for architectural defects that had caused quite a bit of water damage over the winter, including with the elevator system, and some people had damage inside their units, and there was also damage in many different common areas and the work to repair these things had not at all been completed. The developer would not claim any responsibility and would not provide any funds so they are suing him. You can see how this is going to go on for a few years with no guarantee that they’re going to win and they’ve already used up a good chunk of their ready reserve. This in a building that I thought looked so amazing had a lot going on with it, but nobody was gonna tell me about that unless I found out. After the meeting was over, I read the minutes which made me more concerned, and it referred to them hiring an architect to do an architectural inspection and that he had provided a report. I asked for that report and they refused. I didn’t go through with the offer, it was a total lemon, and my agent should’ve known about it or the sellers agent should’ve known about it and they should’ve disclosed it but they don’t disclose here you have to find out about it or you lose. No one‘s gonna help you out I have stopped looking at property in Costa Del sol. One of the main reasons is I’ve heard repeatedly it simply financially is not worth it unless you plan to buy your primary home there and live there most of your life because with all of the taxes, fees and expenses. You’re not gonna make very much money from your investment and there’s no guarantee the property will increase in value, so you can’t really count on it as an investment property or something that you’re gonna make money off of particularly if you do not have a residential visa you really get dinged by the government with taxes I couldn’t believe all the taxes and fees and buying a house. I love Spain, it just doesn’t seem financially worth it. For now I’m staying in Portugal where I do have a residential visa and hopefully can apply for citizenship soon. I honestly don’t know if I’ll stay here either because I’ve had my own shared problems and Portugal but with the passport I can live anywhere in the Schengen zone 😊and that is a huge value, I plan to live in a country that functions a little better than either of these, like the Netherlands or Germany or Sweden. I don’t know why you would leave Denmark.😊

If you look for a FM in one of your wunderfull renovated villas- I would like to come and "work for free" but for a free appartement in such a home. 1985 I lived in Marbella. I love it. My wife was 25 year a german police officer 10 years in a special unit. So we would bring also protection "for free" if we could make a winwin deal :-) I am FIT in BUS systems Pool- technic and all earas of water-electricity-wood- steal- building - and service to solar- battariea- backup systems and so on. Technic from a modern building is not easy to understand and to maintainance...Frank
