DARIO PLEIC has produced/directed documentaries with worldwide distribution such as 'The History of Football - The Beautiful Game’ (Fremantle Media), ‘Football Rivalries’ (Pitch International), ‘Patriot Games’ (ISL Productions), ‘World Cup France 1998’ (official FIFA documentary film), ‘World Cup 2002 Japan/Korea’ (official FIFA documentary film). He is a prolific ad director with a portfolio of tv ads, promos, idents and videos for variety of clients such as FIFA, UEFA, BBC, ITV, C4, T-COM, GRAWE Insurance...
In 2008 he directed ‘Game Over,’ a segment of the omnibus film ‘Zagreb Tales,' produced by Propeler Film. Following year he directed 10 episodes of a crime series 'Mamutica' for Croatian public broadcaster HRT 1, followed in 2011 by drama series 'Loza' for the same broadcaster. In 2013 he has directed his first feature film 'Not All About the Money' produced by Interfilm.
'Defiance', produced by Sekvenca, is his second feature film and is due for a theatrical release in 2016 .

This was the last tournament with the original trophy shown at the end. Uefa made a larger one without the marble base which has been used since 2008.
