In 2003, hanging out at my local park in Novato, north of SF. Nate Jones, the Gonz, and some other Real guys showed up. Nate did the best Kf over a big trash can off the bump. The floatiest thing I’d ever seen. I think there is a photo by Morford somewhere. Gabe also was ripping, BS tailslide on the big quarter. Nate gave me a pair of size 12 Ipath Katz. I was a little pup in early high school, rocking a 9.5, so they lived in my trunk after, a good omen. The Gonz bought the most candy I’d ever seen from the ice cream truck, he shared a bunch but also devoured a ton of it! He was going full manic mode in the park after. Back before Bluetooth speakers or iPhones. Someone had a boom box, the kind with 12 DDD batteries. Sorry for going full boomer, “back in my day”story, ipath just hits different in the early 2000’s. I have to snag a pair of grasshoppers!
