I have been going to concerts since 1966, over 300 shows. Willie four times. This crowd was the OLDEST I've ever seen with the most gray hair Ponytails like Willies, and mine.

Was that Willie's granddaughter that got up on stage?

John's style is playing two instruments Lead simultaneously back and forth like having a conversation, then each take a solo. It makes his music more interesting and involved. He intentionally hits the keys HARD to emphasize the beats. Musical Mastery.

I want to point out that in 1896 the sight grove on the top strap was changed. Original was "V" shaped and the sight blade was thinner like my model. It was changed to a wider squared grove and wider blade.1896 - side mounted spring loaded cylinder rod release button, ejector rod head changed to half moon, sight grove and blade changed... Generation #2

I met John back in 1976 In Laguna Beach-Orange County California. He was the band leader head musician at several High End venues all over the south land. He has recorded over 100 songs in his career. Started playing at six years old and is now 72 years and still making great tunes.

I have seen ZZ Top Live four times and Frank Beard rarely looks up at the crowd and doesn't say anything just like this performance, he remains focused on his job, and he does a fine job at that, and that is just fine with us fans.
