If the ancient relatives of giraffes and okapis were still around, I think people would be a lot less confused (not saying you were confused, haha). I know the stripes look like a zebra’s stripes. 😆 If you look up _Sivatherium_ for example, it was basically an okapi that was half the size of an elephant, but with crazier shaped ossicones ("horns"). Almost like a butterfly, or moose rack, in shape.
