Jack and the Beanstalk TV Movie 1965
Set in medieval England, this outrageous musical comedy turns a childhood favorite on its head as our boy Jack climbs the fabled beanstalk, only to find a friendly, lovable Giant and a tap-dancing Golden Goose. Along the way, he encounters his long-lost father (a victim of (what else?)amnesia) and a villainous Baron. Fresh, wacky, and unexpected, Jack & The Beanstalk is sure to delight even the most jaded of audiences!

Two con-men "play the palace" in this breezy adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's well-known satirical tale. Mr. Stitch and Mr. Sew wreak havoc at Wits Ends Palace when they present the Emperor with a special gift; an exquisitely beautiful "magic" suit of clothes, invisible to all but the wisest of men. A charming exploration of the dangers of vanity, with a host of hilarious characters that...

Set in ancient China, Aladdin used artful Chinese theatre techniques to sing and dance the familiar tale of a poor boy, a beautiful princess and a very large genie in a very tiny lamp. Based on the classic Arabian Nights story re-popularized by the recent animated film, this Aladdin does Disney better by featuring not one, but two magic genies! Directed by Nick Havinga Adaptation, Book & Lyrics...

Old Italy comes to life in this acclaimed musical adaptation of the classic tale of the wooden puppet that yearns to become a real boy. An evocative score, colorful costumes and exotic locales; including the sinister Land Of The Toys and the interior of a genuine Italian whale, made this fantastic adventure a wild success when it was shown on CBS television. Directed by Nick Havinga Adaptation ...
I was the scenic designer for this show as well as the other PSP shown on CBS. What a thrill it is to see then again on YT after so many years.
I was born in the late fall of1978. This is the first time I have ever seen this Classic, Excellent 1965 Television Movie Pinocchio! It is Outstanding! Thank you so much for posting this!
I laughed at the part when jack was captured by the giant and taken into the castle and he kept screaming the whole way and when he was locked up in a cage he was still screaming and the giant said it was giving him a headache, it was funny😂
Thank so much to share 🥰

Thank you PSP Cbs 💗... i love this play🧵✂
Ive never seen a version where Pinocchio becomes a donkey before candlewick
Was this colorized ? As I remember it in black and white !
It was shot in color. The lights are very hot with very hot sets.
In the 60's, many families still and black and white sets.
Thanks to whoever posted this. The lead actor is Hal Holden, my uncle. He died in 1986.
That’s incredible ! Your uncle has been deep in my memory for 55+ years as I never forgot this movie !
Yeah, this is more entertaining than anything I’ve seen produced for tv in a while
Does anyone know where I can watch the full Cinderella one?
This may be the best of the Prince Street Players lot. Where was I at the age of 5 to have missed this? (And trust me, I'd have remembered. Can you say camp, boys and girls?)
How these weren't part of my childhood is beyond me. But what an ideal time (Thanksgiving week) to find them now since this was typical TV fare back in the day to keep the kiddies out of Mom's way while she was preparing the holiday meal.
This is so cheesy, it's irresistible. See what fun TV used to be? Joan Roberts, incidentally, was the original Laurey in "Oklahoma!"
This is the magic of UA-cam. You just come across long-forgotten or never-heard-of entertainment and wonder where it's been all your life. Even Cole Porter didn't think to rhyme Aladdin with bad'un.
Will B. Able, who plays Antonio, played the scarecrow in Corn Bran commercials, and Funshine Saturday on ABC's 1974 preview of its Saturday children's shows.
Will B. Able played the scarecrow in Quaker Corn Bran commercials, and was Funshine Saturday on the 1974 special promoting ABC's Saturday morning shows.

The scene at 46:25 I remember seeing when I was barely four years old on public access TV. I never forgot that song "Tea Time" and can't believe I found this video.
저는 Aladdin1990 에서 처음듣고 아직도 기억하고 있습니다😊 Tea Time
I loved this sooo much when we were kinds it was so child like and pure!
Thank you so much for posting this. I still have nightmares about this, and for decades I thought It might have just been a figment of my imagination. Glad to see I'm not completely insane---just mildly nuts.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." St John 3:16! ❤️
This is so weird. The older actor portraying Pinocchio is so awkward and frightening.
Ikr how old is he like 55? it's a neat version though the order of adventures are kinda switched around
He's older then bengnini but I don't think they had any child actors back then
Everyone is fantastic in this!
@@Lnerfan1 No, He is not!
@@Lnerfan1 Shirley Temple, Jackie Cooper, Dickie Moore Spanky McFarland, Freddy Bartholomeu, Roddy Mc Dowall, Jane Withers and Judy Graland were all child actors and actresses in the 1930's! There have always been Child actors and actresses!
Can't believe I found the full production! I saw this when I was a kid way back in '67. from that day to this I always found myself singing TEA TIME and UP, UP HIGH. Wonderful songs!
I have always wondered about a version of Pinocchio with Gepetto going door to door with a lantern calling “Pinocchio!!! Pinocchio!!!” I Wouk’s have been 7 when this was broadcast. I was very moved, especially when he doesn’t recognize the little donkey… I hope this is produced for children’s theater…. The music and lyrics are very good!!

Jim Eiler, Jeanne Bargy and The Prince Street Players produced some amazing shows. In addition to Pinocchio, 3 other productions were broadcast on CBS in the 60's. Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin and The Emperor's New Clothes. The sound track for this production was released on an LP.
I remember around 1973 this was on television in Los Angeles on KTTV Channel 11 . The commercials were on constantly advertising this.
they hyped it to death. commercials so frequent we learned the first few words of fe fi fo fum, and gonna climb up and oh those golden eggs. we have laughed about the songs for years although we never sat through the show. Glad i finally found this didn't have a clue where it came from. and the orchestratoin and performance s actually better than I thought it would be
@@jay_ell59 But it was on KTTV almost ten years after this was made. I always thought it was a 70s thing. Also The Canterville Ghost was another weird musical special.
I remember this, thought it was a fever dream. I remember the genie asking for audience participation and the Tea Time song. Wasn't there a Peter Pan show that was similar?
Yes!
There were three other Prince Street Players productions that were broadcast on CBS back in the 60's Pinocchio Jack In The Beanstalk The Emperor's New Clothes. As for this production; the cast was plagued by a nasty flu bug. When Will B. Able filmed the genie dance he had a temperature of 103. He had to do the genie dance 3 times; not because he was ill, but for technical reasons. He was perfect in each one.
This is Amazing!!!! Thank you.
I just subscribed!
AWESOME!!!!!! Thank you so much. Much enjoyed!!!!
Is it weird that I've got a minor crush on both Chester/Lester and Sinister?
Not at all
I remember this from childhood.
E What country
Italy.
ITALY!
46:22 Did one of the actors fart????
I remember this TV special. Wonderful childhood memories!
I remember watching this when I was little.
This is awesome can't thank you enough 😊👌
