Good shit on doing a dct swap. Get a s55 flywheel, they are cheap lighter and will perform better than a 335is flywheel (u prob already know that). Make sure to replace the Mechatronics gasket on the side since u cant get to it while the trans is in. Also replace the mechatronics o-ring up top (they always leak). The o-ring it is directional so make sure when installing it is the correct way or it will leak.
My new motor is 8 bolt so I’m gonna have to run the m factory flywheel and I plan to do all the gaskets for sure. The top one is leaking already too.
Pin that crank hub homie. Hate to see you bend valves lol especially after this journey. And low compression in one cylinder especially 120 you should be good to go. Just replace that piston, ball hone that cylinder and rock on. You will prob find a ring that is broken in a couple pieces but still in place, or a crack somewhere in the ring land that hasn't broke off yet. That is good news. I am hyped to see where this goes, was expecting a 8hp swap.
We’ll see after I do the compression test if I’m gonna build it or not, but we’ll see how crazy I wanna go I don’t think the crank hub is that important since I’m not manual. I wanted to do 8hp but a really good deal for the dct came up I couldn’t pass.

How many miles on the engine that just blew up, who was the tuner & are you running a Motiv Reflex? I just got dont installing my Speedtech top mount on my 135. I had to order & offset coupler from HPS cause of the tight fit with a GEN II GTX3582R. I’m going motiv reflex plus & having them tune my car as well. I’m not trying to push it too it’s limits though, I’m hoping I can get 600 wheel on pump gas, no E85 around here really. Car is an 09 135 with 44k original miles. It had 80k miles on a 91 base map barely pushing it. I only have stage 3 pump duel 450s with hobb switch, which know I’m learning is not even worth touching anymore I’m for sure gonna go pi and reflex with a built bottom end motor dct/8hp whichever I can get my hands on first.

This engine is toast, you’ll see in the next video I post. I have another engine ima get from a friend close by that lost compression but should be perfect for a build.

That was definitely a Pre ignition issue, when occurs, it toast the piston within a second
Idk I think it overboosted because the vacuum line on the turbo was lose and don’t run a boost gauge so I couldn’t know unless I had MHD gauges on
@@Rvssvlle90 Good luck on your next rebuild, always use braided lines for vacuum to prevent any silly issues. Stay away from swivel adapters too, they prone to leak.

Nice bro! That's how it's done lol. Still haven't blown my stocker up yet, but I know my time is coming. Seriously thinking of just picking up a higher mileage long block from the scrap yard and building it in my spare time. I think with some rods, and pistons these things will be pretty solid to 750 wheel. Shit even just opening the ring gap a little on the stock pistons will probably save lots of heartache. Oh and def go with a 8hp swap! I don't see the point anymore of doing the dct, manual swap is of course cool, but they can't be rebuilt and they are getting expensive. 8hp is everywhere for 500 bones, and a bunch of aftermarket support like Pure for the future when you need to build it for big boy power. Keep killin it bro.

Looks like the N54 blew up because of a mix of things. Running a single turbo with just an upgraded fuel pump and no port injection is risky-especially with the 91 octane gas we’re stuck with in California. That low-octane fuel doesn’t play well with high-boost setups, and if the tune wasn’t spot-on, it could’ve easily caused a lean condition and detonation. That destroyed spark plug is a dead giveaway. Honestly, without proper fueling and a solid tune that considers the crap gas we have here, it was only a matter of time before something went wrong.
This will happen again. Get a new tuner and get PI, you leaned out and your car detonated.

Without sufficient fueling, your engine runs lean, which likely caused detonation and led to that broken spark plug. Adding port injection is crucial as well, because it ensures that even if you do overboost, there’s enough fuel to prevent the engine from leaning out. Proper tuning with port injection helps balance the air-fuel ratio and protects your engine from damage. That’s why I really recommend you get a new tuner because this honestly could have been prevented; and add PI if you’re going to increase boost. I have an N54 too. Our engines can handle boost. If you have a data log before your car blew up, I can take a look at it and see if I can get a better picture. Clean car, brother, sorry this happened to you.

Every time I think I should go single instead of new twins I see you or Vehicle Virals going through it....and I'm like nah twins cool😭 Seem like once folks go single they spend more time fixing it then getting to drive it😮💨 I had my power steering pulley snap off and wrapped my belt around the back of my crack. Goofy ass mechanic only put 2 bolts back in instead of all 3 and almost cost me my engine
It all depends on the car and how it was treated I got screwed over from the beginning with this car. Vehicle virals is trynna push 700+ so it’s expected to have issues with a stock motor lol. You ain’t pushing those twins crazy or it would have the same issues too.

Here in San Antonio no ones really pushing pass 600 on anything, mustang GT's probably the "fastest" things where I live and they're usually just wheels and exhaust. I wanna go single but I'm at 194k miles on my motor and trans so I don't really get on it often. Especially when it's been 107° here the last month
