Understanding Gradient Factors - EN
Переглядів 15 тис.4 роки тому
COVID-19 lockdown resulted in many on-line webinars, presentatons and trainings. Here is one of mine. "Understanding Gradient Factors" is a presentation that explains, in simple and hopefully easy to understand way how conservatism determined by GF works in software and/or dive computer based on ZHL-16A GF algorytm. Really great explanation!
Petarda, dzięki
Rewelacyjne wytumaczenie! Dziekuje bardzo, najlepsze jakie kiedykolwiek uslyszalem!!!
Wow..very clear... Thank you.
PK + GF = crystal clear. Thank you!
Dzięki Przemek z rozumiałem GF
Amazing presentation! Thank you 🫱🏽🫲🏼
Excellent presentation. I just got my Mares Sirius and default it's set at 85/85 (WTH)... to your question I think 40/70 is probably a little more conservative but like you said. It depends on the diver.
Finally, I understood more about GF… Thank you..
Excellent presentation! Thank you!
What was the answer to the last question ? 40/70 or 30/80
Outstanding presentation. Thank you.
Best explain of decompression profile
Thank you for such a great and clear presentation of GF
Np w komputerach bez gradientów były to współczynniki A1 i A2. Też pewnie ustalone według statystyk. No więc jakie te poziomy dla starych i otyłych?
Thank you for making this vid! Cleared up alot of things for me as a beginner tech diver
@59:45 US Navy tables were tested on age group of 18-24 year old men! Thank you for this presentation PK
Thanks for doing this, my reading makes a lot more sense
This was awesome. Thank you so much!
What is the answer to your final question: Which gradients are more conservative 40/70 or 30/80?
40/70 is very conservative, the high GF is the "end of your dive" to say like thad, for example 30/80 or 80/80 will give you the same time of deco but the lower gf will stop you earlyer in the way up instead of higher value on low gf... For example 30 min to x depth gives you 2 min to 6m and 5min to 3m 2nd will give u like 1 min to 9m, 2min to 6m and 4min at 3m Ending with 1% extra CNS
@@anghelcosmin15 sorry, explaining the values does not answer my question. In your example the difference is in 1% CNS and first starting with deeper first stop. But which one of the is better?
Very well explained! This is explained idiot proof, love how you put in the effort and time! Thank you.
Never had so clear explanation on GF before. Super clear and understandable. Thank you
Great lesson, and really thanks . You explained it really clear how GF works. I only have doubts on GF99, if it continue to express a percentage of full M value, or of the modified M value on the basis of conservative level. Ah…. Great english , really clear
Very thorough & clear 👏🏽
well done!
What a valuable lesson! I have never seen that great explanation about GF before. Thank you. - SSI Instructor Korea.
Great presentation, I wish I come across it earlier. Clear, logical and simple to understand. Dzięki Przemek, świetna robota.
Question : gf are for ascent stop algorithm. Why does gf affect Ndl on Shearwater computer ?
Your NDL is just your ability to surface within your GF high supersaturation limit without needing additional stops on the way up. Turn your GF high down and you must start your ascent sooner to exit the water within that limit, turn it up and you extend your NDL because you're willing to exit with a higher limit. This affects everything from the adaptive safety stop setting, to your deco stop requirements and your NDL.
Great lesson, love how you detail with graphs with simplicity. Good to explain Shearwater graphs as similar are available on other Tec dive computer. Very relevant + joke about beguiling time on deco stop.
This was the best breakdown of GF, conservatism, M Values etc...well done !
Thank you for the video Przemyslaw, I have just purchased a Shearwater peregrine and this presentation helped me to understand the GF.
I want to thank you for taking the time and for making this available to all divers. Your presentation was clear and I enjoyed it.
Awesome 😎👌
Bardzo przejrzysty i dobrze zrealizowany wykład. Dziękuję
Hi Przemyslaw. Thank you for this very informative video! It's super clear. Looking forward to your future videos!
Great presentation about gradient factors, only one small fix, default gradients for all Shearwater devices is 40/85. I would also recommend/add what are the ranges for gradients? Both in the range 0-100%, but most devices don't allow you to do so. So common range is 20-50% for Gradient low and 60-95% for gradient high. With the rule that gradient heigh is always a higher number than gradient low. And last, too low gradients add unnecessary time underwater (at the decompression stops), which means you need to have enough gas when planning the dive.
As soon as you flick them into oc tech they default to 30/70
Recreational mode's medium conservatism is 40/85, Tec modes switch to 30/70 per default, recreational has 3 modes of conservatism, most conservative switches to 30/70.
@@ugosinsaang Ok, thanks i didn't notice the difference between rec. and tec.
I finally understand this, thanks for posting this. Still trying to understand in repetitive diving what this means and exactly how this interacts with my bottom time.but I am getting closer thanks to this
Thanks for this super clear explanation!
Hi Przemyslaw, I just saw your presentation on GFs and I find it very informative. Very good work. Thank you
